Downloading the game and updates are insanely slow

I don't want to post this in Tech Support thread because as far as I can tell and have experienced, I cannot do anything to remedy the situation. This is all on ZOS and their servers/infrastructure.
I know a lot of this is my slow internet speed(4-7Mb/s download) but I have also downloaded the game and updates on faster and much more stable internet and it's still been unbearably slow. I know the game files are large and with every update the game gets bigger and bigger, as with every game. I am just very tired and annoyed that I have this experience with ESO and literally no other games.
Here's the problem. I've been downloading the game since last Tuesday and it's been going almost 24/7, save for 20 hours or so of downtime and whatnot. I still have 7.6GB on the download remaining. In that time I have fully DL'd GW2, Witcher 3, and over 10 other games. Sure multiple downloads take up bandwidth and the fam likes to stream a lot during the evening and that generally slows down anything. I've still been able to fully DL several more games in the time that I have downloaded 25GB or whatnot of ESO.. Why does this happen, ZOS??
Bugs with the launcher persisted for months after launch and even doing regular updates have been a 8+hour thing for me most of the time. Sure you can chalk it up to slow internet on my part, and yes that is obviously part of it but how can I still fully DL GW2, Witcher 3, and many other games in the same time frame? This isn't something that has just happened once or twice for me, this has persisted since launch and against better judgement, I have re-downloaded and installed the game probably 5+ times in the past two years. Every Time, Every Time it's been a 3-5 day event for me. This is the same issue with downloading the base/regular game, PTS, and updates.
The servers almost seem to artificially throttle the DL's even with the DL speed selected be Unlimited or whatever else.
Does this happen for anyone else? Maybe not to this extreme but have you found that the game takes much longer than other games to download?
Any input to why this may be the case? Just makes no sense that ESO tends to take 5X longer than it should to download the same amount of data.

Yes...incredibly slow download speeds and my internet is not slow by any means.0 -
Yayap7✭This thread is probably buried now. That's ok; just want to come back and say that it's been just about a week and I'm only 60% completed with the installation. Save for maybe 32 hours, I have been downloading ESO 24/7 since Tuesday of last week. (Monday evening now) It says there is 2,025MB left to download(before it installs that and then demands another 8 Gigs or something).. ESO downloads 1 Gig per 4 hours for me. When my actual bandwidth, that granted isn't good, can download at least a solid 1.5-3GB within one hour.
What is going on, ZOS? This is shenanigans.0
