Fullscreen vs Windowed (Fullscreen) Color Differences

savingryansprvt
Hey guys,

I recently switched from Windowed (Fullscreen) to Fullscreen in order to make use of Nvidia's Shadowplay. The thing is, when playing on Fullscreen, my colors seem to be duller and different, as if a filter were applied to it to make the colors less... vibrant?. It isn't a brightness/gamma issue, since increasing that only whitewashes the duller colors.

Oddly enough, when I try to take a screenshot of the problem while in Fullscreen, the image appears normal, as if I'm just seeing things. So to give you guys an idea, I took a screenshot of the normal colors and then applied a filter on it to make it look as close as possible to what I'm seeing.

Oh, another thing. In fullscreen mode, if I press the Crown Store button (,) and then click on 'Buy Crowns", the internet browser is launched right? When I alt-tab back into the game, the colors go back to normal for a while.

Any ideas?

Are your desktop colour settings adjusted in Nvidia control panel? Or the AMD equivalent?

That definitely looks like a vibrance setting on some kind of program.

edit: could also be an injector program like sweetfx or reshade not working properly in windowed mode, though usually it is the reverse problem.

I just logged on and did a test but both fullscreen and windowed fullscreeen appeared to provide the same level of saturation. Perhaps this is a setting your graphics card is handling based on the fullscreen setting of an application. I know a lot of cards these days allow you to alter the way an application appears to either use "Application's settings" or "Override application's settings with my own" within their control panels.
