Hey,
Up until the new Trial released, vMSA is by far the hardest content in the game. Why does garbage gear that has absolutely no use in the game drop in the most difficult content in the game? There isn't even a niche' use for it. Elemental Succession, Winterborn, Hunter Leader, Para Bellum, and Glorious Defender are all complete garbage sets. There is no reason to wear any of them anywhere in the game. The most frustrating part about vMSA for me isn't the difficulty but the 80% likelihood that I am going to be rewarded with complete garbage after spending an hour+ in there. Then to make it worse, you make the garbage gear BoP so I can't even give it to the poor misguided soul that might actually want to equip it. It doesn't need to be OP Best In Slot Gear, but can you please make vMSA drop gear that has some use.
Please improve vMSA gear drops or remove it from the loot tables and just have it to only drop Maelstrom Weapons.

Zyle✭✭✭✭✭I agree with this, I've tested all these sets and here are my results: Every set has a better alternative, the only set I'm using is Permafrost for my PvE tank.

DSA sets like Footman, Healer, Destruction mastery etc were tradeable, why change it? vMA sets are situational at best, I see absolutely no reason to bind them on pickup.
Also, since vMA is the hardest piece of content and its solo-only, I support the idea of 100% weapon drop chance. There are different kinds of weapons, and different traits so it would take multiple runs to get the perfect weapon anyway. Locking the best weapons for group content behind solo content is absurd imo.
P.S. Still no infernal staff for me

NOBODY out there that actually wants to use the garbage will be able to put a set of it together to use it. I get where you're coming from and maybe ZoS was thinking the same thing, but forcing players to buy a DLC so they can be disappointed to learn they can't earn trashy gear because they can't complete the content isn't a good incentive. Also since a large majority of the gear in TG is BOE it looks like they've reversed their stance if that was the case to begin with.
My biggest gripe is that they actually did spend time unbinding SOME old gear with TG. The ebon, hircine, worm sets from dungeons now bind on equip. They're still completely useless as those ones only go up to v14 (from the vet dungeons). But it proves they did have someone in charge of deborking the BoP garbage but they for some reason still don't want to give Orsinium a pass. MIND BOGGLING!
ZoS, make the majority of Orsinium gear BoE! Remove the v15 trash from v16 loot tables! Keep Maelstrom weapons BoP! Why is it so hard for quality of life changes like this!1 -

Innit. Permafrost is beast for a sorc tank. Works very very well. Nerenith and Winterborn with am ice staff and crushing shock is also a very good combo.PC Master Race

✭✭✭✭✭Elemental Succession is one of the few pieces with max magicka and spell damage in the first bonuses and comes in v16. That and overwhelming, but that changed with TG.
So yeah, the armor really isn't all that. Even the Maelstrom weapons are only slightly better than a nirnhoned staff.0 -
