Why the !#$%@'d Up Malacath/ Trinimac Drop Rates?

Care to explain why the droprate for these two motifs are garbage? I am not sure what Zenimax is thinking, but if they think I am going to grind months for them every day is going to keep me in their game, they are wrong. Stop screwing people over, Zenimax. Thanks.

Its a cosmetic motif. It doesnt affect gameplay at all.

Considering the prices for which they are sold in guild stores, the drop rate seems to be quite high. I can get nearly a full set for the price that people payed me for a single ancient orc piece when Orsinium was new.

I'm not trying to be a White Knight for Zeni or anything, but I have gotten 4 Trinimac and have not even tried for Malacath in the 5 days the dlc has been out. They are trying to avoid instant market saturation like with the merc motifs. The drop rate is fine. They will be rare and high priced for a short while and soon they will be a couple thousand gold and on every guild trader, like every other motif.

I think Zeni has pulled a few schemes to squeeze some crowns out of people and this is not one of them. People want things handed to them. Make it rare and interesting for a short while.

I did and no, there were no Motif pages. The set pieces could still be deconned for Auric Tusk/Potash though.

Correct, I found four pages of Trinimac on the first two days of the patch. They're out there ... you just need to do the quests (or world boss events for Malacath ... which by the way is easier given there are six WB quests that can be shared per day).

Well, if you want to have this motif at the first week after release, its your choice. You can just wait a week or 2, and it will be much cheaper. It doesnt affect your character's performance, its just a cosmetic item.
And I personally dont want the new motifs to be worthless rubbish that no one wants even for free, it already happened to mercenary stuff, and its not very good for the game's economy... Items like this should have some value, especially when they drop from super easy quests. And the drop rate is quite decent - seems like 50% for me.

I asked ZOS about this and they said any containers held would not drop any.

At the very least they should normalize it across the both of them. Currently you can get 6 chances a day at the Malacath stuff but only 1 chance at Trinimac. What's up with that?

Found quite a few motif pages from malacath and trinimac.

It's just been less than a week, good god, you're just having bad luck.

Bit of advice: once you get em, sell them now, buy later. Why? the prices is dropping in a few weeks/months and surely the amount of money you get from selling 1 motif page now might get you 2 or 3 pages later.

Special snowflake? Lol, wow that's a terrible insult. I have 8 characters that ran daily delves since launch and I have only found one trinimac motif. Say what you want, but that's terrible and it's quite shameful on Zenimax. Be a fanboy all you want, but that's just bad.

I've done a test yesterday, with all 4 my vet toons i've done the daily dungeon ( so 4 box) and the bosses (so 24 box) and i've dropped literally NOTHING.
The drop rates are worst than in Shark's grotto where in 3 hours i've manage at least to get 2 of the bugged Outlaw pages.

I did it on 2 chars, both got motifs. 100% drop chance, lol. Also the other day I got tempering alloy out of 4 ore refines, it must have 25% drop chance!
And I have a question to those who want to get full motifs instantly: do you really think that what happened to mercenary motif is a good thing for the game's market? And do you prefer motifs to be somewhat valuable (so when you get them, you can sell them at least) or to rot in guild banks/stores where no one wants them even for free/100g?

Well you know if i had a chance on 100 to get the full book it will be ok to have a bad drop rate, but since now every book is divided into 14 pages a low drop rate become only frustrating.
