Small Scale PVP

Does anyone know if there is any small scale PvP in the works? I know people have been asking about this for years would love to see it implemented ASAP. Cyrodill is a boring zerg fest and imperial city is much of the same.

They have said it is being worked on. Arenas with all the typical bells and whistles. I don't have a link or anything but I remember being extremely excited to hear about it.

It is most likely not being worked on yet. They expect us to enjoy the lag fest and zerg fest that is cyradil for the rest of the year, its BS. They said in an eso live it was in their "long term" plans.

Well since they confirmed its actually coming and we have no details of the patch after TaG, I'm hoping it's coming then. We know that patch has no new map areas to add, so kind of makes sense.

You can do small pvp ganking groups if you want. I see them all the time. They are usually pretty effective if used in the right way.

You can find small scale PvP in IC districts, specially Temple and Arena

Small scale pvp would be pvp mini games. Plenty of mmorpgs have successfully implemented mini games. 6vs6 12vs12. If not mini games than at least arena tournaments. Not a hard concept to grasp.

small scale should be anything less than 6, 12v12? lol if you ask around,thats zerg

When I say small scale PvP, I mean things like 3v3 or 4v4 or even 3v3v3 contests and 1v1 duels. They demoed proof of concept over year ago a quakecon event. I had hoped IC would have provided small scale options, but unfortunately that generally that is not the case, and it often seems to be empty.

When the Cyrodiil population caps were significantly higher, there was a lot more small scale action on the map. The number of flashpoints at a given time on the map were more than double what they are now. This created a lot of traffic across Cyrodiil which offered a lot to small groups.

I've heard rumor about some kind of arena for a while. Some people said it's just IC Arena tease, not really a pvp arena. Some said it's just a possibility the devs said they're thinking about on ESO Live. Some said it's already on track and coming with/after Dark Brotherhood. Some said it's a lie, nothing coming. I don't even know what to believe any more. But I do hope they are coming. Yes you can do small scale in Cyrodiil, but most of them are very elitist, doesn't take pug and require TS and I have problem with hearing. A matchmaking Arena, random people, fast action, lesser lag would be great.

Waiting for this so I don't have to waste time running around Cyro, bother trying to find a group, don't have to see the trash people say on zone chat. Just queue with decent/easy going guild members and have fun. 8 vs 8 is a nice number for me.

IC sewers can be quite zerg-y.

I've had really good luck lately with relatively small scale PvP in HAderus IC upper areas / dailies.

I just wonder if they are worried that small scale arena style PvP would take a way from Cyrodill? Either way I think that is something this game could really use. I think 8v8 may be to big. Everything from duels to 4v4 (maybe 5) would be perfect IMO. I hope this is something that comes with Dark Brotherhood.

Honestly small scale pvp should be either arena combat with teams of 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, however most mmos have small scale pvp through ques that very from 4v4, 8v8 honestly this is my opinion and those i play with is that we would prefer the ques rather then the arena combat but we would take both, and at the very least the arena combat, dueling system would also be a win. Also the small scale pvp would not take away from cyrodill rather if they implement a reward system with like AP per match completed or added in a new vendor that lets you buy pvp gear in the capital city of each alliance it would probably bring back the players that have left due to not having the small scale pvp and got tired of being zerged, and once more of the player base gets pvp gear im and more ap im sure that more people would go into cyrodill.

This post made me laugh who exactly are you going to play against? Only one v xers want small scale and they want one... them vs potatoes... you. Ppl who want small scale is usually four ppl finding me horse riding from one keep to another then the four ppl rek me then they tea bag me. Sign me up

Small scale pvp in a game that was not designed for it, everyone knew that the pvp in this game was AVAVA, and if that was not what you were looking for why did you even come to this game in the first place, some of us chose this game for the large scale pvp and the taking of keeps and big epic siege battles.

I have played small scale pvp in a lot of other games and I am bored with it, in this game, with the cheat engine, the broken game mechanics, throw in some pre-mades, small scale pvp in eso will be a disaster, even more that what we have now small scale will just bring to light what we already know the game is way out of balance, the forums will be lit up with more nerf threads than they can handle, if your that passionate about playing small scale, maybe another game would be a better choice. /shrug
