Are Templars actually better now??

To actually answer the question, templars effectively got a big buff because of the change to CP. They probably benefited more than any other class with regards to how they changed thaumaturge. I dont think the breath of life nerf is all that big of a deal in PvE. The current meta is that healing only takes up like 10% of your rotation anyway. Even if that goes up slightly, you are doing more DPS because of CP. Most of the really good templars I know say they feel much more powerful in PvP. I havent taken my temp in to Cyrodiil since patch, but its on my to do list.

DPS is better, healing is worse.
Also it's hard to heal templar tanks, comparing to dk or nb tanks.

The real irony is that by theme it was clear tanking was definitely in mind for the class with the passives (and skill lines) they were given.

And don't forget: they're supposed to protect their house!

They are actually terrible at that now.

    House?
    <voice of molag kena> Where?!

As a Magika Templar Healer main who still haven't gotten to v16, I have no clue how he is doing endgame, but I was always worried investing so much time on him only to turn out bad.

From what I see at my current state, I think he is better, he got damage buffs to some skills and his passive change to major mending is actually good, I don't have to run around after my party to apply the buffs to them I can get the boost from where I'm standing.

Can the end game guys enlighten me about the current state of the templars, also the stamina ones since I have a v2 stamplar tank so should I invest more in templars, they are the most fun race for me, but I need a good class for end game content PvP and PvE.

Well, I know some templars that did 45-50k dps before the patch, now they do 50-70k on bosses etc.

No Templar, stam or magicka is pulling 45k-70k dps single target. Not counting burst dps over half a second. But a steady 45-70k dps.

What a complete load of, well you know. Nobody is pulling 50-70k single target. On trash packs, sure, but people have been pulling 80K plus on a perfectly timed trash pack for a while now. But 80K +10 adds that all die a the same time is not DPS that anyone cares about. Also, 2 seconds of Jesus Beam doesnt count as single target. Stop spreading misinformation.

Good Players are well over 30K on multiple classes at this point, and it wont shock me to see 40k single target parses before too long, but this is laughable.

Think what you want, I saw these two do that, he linked it after the boss died, there were no adds there at all, if you've done the daedroth boss in vet banished cells you'd know that. So go ahead and think that I lie if you just can't comprehend that people actually pull those numbers these days, but what I said is true.

I am a stamina templar and since I wreck absolutely everyone! It's easy mode now, since they've nerfed DK's, sorcs and nb's.

I don't know why they've buffed templars this much...

In what kind of world do you guys live? :open_mouth:

    Sounds like a l2p issue.

    Git gud.
