Thieves Guild Heist - The Hideaway - Perfect Run

If you haven't gotten there, you unlock heists at a certain Thieves Guild rank. 9 maybe? I am level 10 right now.

This is my second try at this particular heist. The first run I made it pretty far but couldn't locate the treasure. Also I was discovered by a roaming guard, and each time that happens your time to finish the heist is reduced.

The Hideaway is the second heist job I got. The first one I did on the first try so I thought why not make a video. Though the first one had a lot of traps and such and less roaming guards. I guess there's going to be some variation between them. I don't know how many different ones there are but you can only do one a day.

As of DB you get Thieves Guild Motif Chapters, among other things.

Since you can get TG Abah's Chapters in any Reward for any Daily or Job with the TG, I still treat these places as just another Delve and kill everything. I even wait outside as the timer runs down before so I don't have to see all the error messages about how I am not going to get the super shiny reward at the end.

Sorry, it was an Abah's, I saw purple and assumed. I never read it as I was opening a bunch of containers and this character is not my crafter

quick question on that --- i get a mission from the top board --- when i finish it i get told to do the next mission or return to the guild for a small reward --- is there a minimum number of these you have to do to get a better chance at a motif page ?

I don't remember which one I did, but the chapter came from a TG Reward container. I have not done a Heist in weeks. Probably because of how I feel about timed quests in games. It had to be the Tip Board, as I have not done any jobs where you go re-appropriate something either in a long time. Maybe it was a glitch.

I am an idiot, it was an Abah's. I thought for sure it was TG, I just saw purple and assumed.

Hit up all 3 zones to get the large reward. I honestly don't know the rate for the Pickpocket and Safebox quests though because I've only done The Covetous Countess but that quest doesn't have a good rate of obtaining chapters and it's always the large reward.

It might be a coincidence, but the only Thieves Guild chapters I got was from perfect heist runs.

Abah's Watch chapters seem to be drop (rarely) from the pickpocketing/lockboxes/countess quests. I never handed those in after only doing one zone (except countess, obviously), so can't say if a small reward can grant a chapter or not.

Ah, so that's how you get the Abah's Watch chapters! I'd been wondering how to get them and hadn't gotten around to actually doing the research to figure it out... I guess I need to hit up the tip board!

It's best to always go the distance. Better safe than sorry after all! That said I've done 2 heists since DB release and both gave me chapters and I beat the timer on both but like you I rarely get Abah's Watch chapters while doing Tip Board.

I do the heists on all 8 of my toons and it is 100% chance if u do it under time limit. It has never faild to give me a page yet.

Agreed, over the last few days I've been doing the heists on 6 of my characters (the ones I've put together stealth gear sets for, because it's really easy to get the max reward level for heists if you've got decent stealth gear and you know the layouts well), and each and every time I've received a page.

lol I was doing heists this morning on 6 characters. The first 4 all got frickin UNDERGROUND SEPULCHER! I actually don't mind that one, but getting it 4 times in a row was a bit annoying...

It's so annoying though with all the torch holders that barely move 5 feet away to clear your way in a place that's so damn cramped you sometimes have to hug the wall to not get detected, and even then you do and then if you aren't a NB you're screwed.

This is untrue. Thieves Guild Motifs are only granted as a bonus reward for finishing under the time limit. Simply finishing the heist itself just grants you a box of laundered goods.

The repeatable Tip Board missions have a very small % chance based on difficulty of mission to grant a reward containing the Abah's Watch Motif. Pick Pocket Missions have the highest point value over Strongbox missions, but I am uncertain as to the point value of the Countess missions. This is to my knowledge, the ONLY method of gaining the Abah's Watch motifs.

Yep it was an Abah's. I did not even know that was a motif. I saw purple, it was a TG container, I assumed it was TG. I got it couple of days ago when I was opening about 6 containers so did not even look at the name. It was on my non crafter so I did not read it.

Drats, I will never get the TG unless I buy it lol......
