Older models are becoming extremely incompetent now adays. I recommend picking up a GTX 960. You can score one for dirt cheap since Pascal chips are around the corner.

    1. I wouldn't buy a card that old with that low power, maybe for 10-15€ if you really need a GPU and don't have money to spare right now, but not more. They aren't worth more than 20€ max! Some people give cards like that out for free...

    2. No reason why it shouldn't work, it'S a really slow card, but still dx11.

That is a really, really old and quite slow card. I had this card... 7 years ago?

A good cheap card is a GTX 750ti. I'm using it, works fine. Quiet, low power (doesn't even need external power connector). $110 on amazon.

I do have the GTX460 (currently the minimum requirement btw!), I don't crash at all. It's not the best FPS (60, with exceptions like Hew's Bane or Orsinium) and I have to run the game on medium settings, but it works.
Edit: I wouldn't recommend this card, though, if you're into PvP or other large group content, you'll get a slideshow.

Thanks guys! So based on the couple posted so far, it appears as though your graphics card does not technically support DX11 (even though your OS supports it). To quote one of our programmers:

"DX11 has a mode called “9 on 11” or “10 on 11”, which is basically where the driver can create a DX11 compliant device on DX9 or DX10 level hardware, but that device is limited to the features of that API and is not really a DX11 device. This is how a DX9 card can exist on a DX11 OS."

All that said, we do currently have a bug where you may not be receiving the correct error message if you're trying to launch the game with unsupported hardware; this will likely be fixed in patch 2.3.7 (so not next week, but the week after). In the meantime, we can tell you that Nvidia Geforce cards should be 400 series and above, and AMD HD Radeon should be 5000 series and above in order to properly launch the game. You can also check the line "DDI Version" under Display Devices in your DxDiag file to see what version you're actually running.

    Does that help?

So yes. It'll work. But only if you're running Mac/PC (Windows 7, 8.1, or 10).

Also, sorry Gina if this tags you. D:

According to a person using the HD 5670 using it and not crashing; Probably not.

Most people in that thread WITH DX11 compliant cards that are crashing is due to something on ZOS's side that they're trying to address. It's not due to the cards themselves (others seem to be getting in just fine that run the same cards). So your best bet is to either test it, or simply wait until they have this ironed out and buy the one you originally wanted. Which was also stated in that thread. So you did have confirmation there as well.

Just watch your memory clock on it as that series has a known issue with vertical bar crashing. See post number number 6 here to see what to set your memory clock to. By lowering the memory clock below the default it worked for me no problem. Game ran well enough to play and be satisfied with the graphics using that card once I changed the memory clock. Just keep in mind this game may not run smoothly even with the best card.
