Hey guys,


hearing a lot of talk about Templars and the upcoming BOL nerf (im on console)
wondering how you PC players feel Templars are post TG dlc.....(in both PVP and group PVE)


from my understanding ( having a v16 magicka Templar) we were the lowest rung on the PVP ladder...
I get that BoL is annoying in a group atmosphere and can be ridiculous to deal with.....but our class is meant to heal no? we have the weakest dmg of all 4 classes.

as far as running solo goes Templars have become a complete joke...my sole viability as a Templar was that I could heal my way through a dungeon or assist someone capable of burst dmg with some heals from the bushes....

anyone out there found this DLC improved things? or should I just reroll to stamina and leave healing to Pet Sorcs with resto staffs and ignore my so called class abilities ?

At this point I heal pledges with my sorcs twilight while using Jul/will and still achieve 15-20k dps on all bosses. Unless your running with players that like to stand in stupid or want harder content then pledges my advice is to spec entirely into dmg (CP etc) and just keep shards/ele drain on your bar for the small amount of support "needed".

I only PVPed a short time. The 2 heals on BOL make its 1/3 less likely to get your own heal if you're the only one healing. I noticed it but many other have not. I don't play with large groups. Typically if its more then 8 allies I go somewhere else and see whats up. My fault.

PVE I've heard its a little harder but still not a game breaker. They just changed it in the wrong way in my opinion. Such is ZOS

Ive tried the new nerfed bol and honor the dead. Honestly as far as heals go it kind of bites for mobile fights like engine guardian, or if you are the only healer in a large group, but it was OK otherwise. Definitely not as strong a healer now and other classes can accomplish the same while offering more but its OK.

That said dps is very strong this patch and templars are much more able to compete as a dps. If i wasnt so needed for healing i personally would respec dps.

I have switched to Honor the Dead - Still can't decide if I like it. I have also committed to trying out Ritual of Rebirth for PVP... it takes a little care and good positioning, but I found the change to BoL quite profound for raid healing.

For solo PVP Honor the Dead is nice until some nearby pug steals your heals

Healing is definitely different this patch.
