Can't use soul gems to ressurect my char

I do not have this issue, but I'm interested if the following might help.

1. If you have Grand Soul Gems in your inventory, drop ALL soul gems (Empty/full/crown/etc.) off in a bank, relog and die. Identify if you have the "clickable" E or the grayed out option. Then res by whatever means possible.

2. Retrieve your gems and die again, see if you can now Res.

3. If you are able to res, report back to us. If you are still not able to res see if you can remap your activity key ('E') keep in mind that this might change all your interactions with the world. And try to res using that new key instead

I wish that I had this problem so I could test this out myself. Good luck.

I tried this. Removed all my gems died. Then retrieved the gems died again, I was still not able to resurrect using a gem.

I changed my keybindings as well to a new key to see if there was a difference unfortunately still not effect. It is lit up appearing like it should work but nothing.

I even went another zone to see if that made a difference. No luck, I am not able to rez in the other zone either. Was worth a shot...

We're actively investigating this issue, but are having a tough time pinpointing exactly what may be causing it.

I just disabled all addons and killed my char... Still cannot ressurect.

It happens in all locations, both scaled (Orsinium, Cyro) and non-scaled (Craglorn).

I am a level 36 right now and was doing content in Wrothgar. These are the screenshots I was able to grab. I had 6 filled common soul gems in my inventory as indicated by the screenshots. It claims that these soul gems are good for reviving players up until level 39 which as a level 36 I should be able to use to revive myself. Am I mistaken here? Do I need a Grand Soul Gem to respawn in a scaled area?

No.. In this case you'd need grand soul gems because you're scaled and your character counts as veteran.

Today I got the same bug, cannot resurrect anymore, all solo dungeons or things a bit longer than usual are forbidden and when doing group stuff I have to bother other ppl to res me even when not needed, that's great ._. I guess it's time to play something else until all this garbage they put with TG goes away...looks like it will take long time O_O

So this is an ongoing issue?

Yes this is really getting on my nerves, on my Templar. I enjoy the challenge of doing the public dungeons with no one else about, especially the boss fights, some of which are really hard in my opinion, but then when you die pick yourself up and start again. That is possible with the amount of soul gems my only vet character has...but since we cant right now...public dungeons are becoming a no go area. Dying at all is a kick in the teeth right now.

Any updates ZOS on a fix for this?

It's still ongoing. I've put up my account/character up for testing as ZOS_GinaBruno asked. Other affected people should really too, who knows, maybe it will help them resolve it quicker/better. The bug seems to be character related as only one of my two characters is experiencing it.

I hope they will quickly figure it out.

I have the same problem, whether master merchant is on or not. It's bizarre, every other option works, if someone res's me then I can press e and res, but on my own with the option highlighted and over 100 gems on me (I'd previously been ressing other people in that dungeon as well) I press e and nothing happens...

I check todays patch notes, was hopping to see a fix about this problem. But there is nothing. Not even single word. I am going to lose my hope about this problem. There is no dev post about it. @ZOS_GinaBruno was asking account for solving problem. And some of us offered any help we can. Don't know others but i didn't get any response about that. So last dev post was 4 days ago. And i can't understand why the fix it is soooo hard?

The fix is hard because it wasn't affecting everyone, and trying to pinpoint exactly what was causing the issue in a game this size was quite difficult. That said, we believe we've identified what the problem is (sounds like it's a single line of code) thanks to some of the volunteered accounts - thank you!! We're working on getting it fixed and verified, and hope to get it into the next incremental patch.

this has been happening on xbox for me since orsinium and we dont have master merchant (sobbing)
also spawning after dying in IC, if you spawn in a safe zone in a district you sometimes are still dead and cant do anything unless you log out and log back in

@ZOS_GinaBruno Is there anything you can do as a short term solution to help the people who will be stuck another week+ with this? This bug makes it incredibly difficult to do things like trials or dungeons, paired with all of the other issues that have been happening it's literally killed all desire to play.

Don't volunteer your character, its's a trap! They're going to do terrible, evil things to them. Like dangle christmas ribbons from elven ears, and rub Khajiit fur backwards! Backwards!!

I also intermittently have this problem, usually in Cyrodiil when I have all add-ons turned off. An avenue worth exploring might be how exact your cursor has to be over the player. I found that after the patch I had to move my cursor above the body (where the head might be had the character been alive and standing) to get the interaction UI to pop up, but for the resurrection to actually be successful I had to move my cursor down over the dead body while pressing the interaction button so that the resurrection animation would begin.

I would be willing to volunteer my character to use to test with (@Inarre) as long as you dont require my interaction as I'm not at home during the day

I've tried everything. Restarters, repairs, stopped all addons, reset all (YES ALL) keybindings, updated addons, tried dying with no gems, with gems. I could not res in a house, I could not res with a mouse, I could not res here or there, I could not res anywhere!
I've tried ressing standing on one leg, twiddling a Q-tip up my nose. I've tried it eating pizza, while wiggling my eyebrows. This is my main. It caused a nightmare at Maw of Lorkhaj yesterday and I don't want to *** my guildies off at PvP tonight, so I've had to not go. It's OK for console players, they probably have a life. I'm a PC player, in my 40's with long hair, male with a female main. Do you really think I have anything else to do?
There is no sign showing me that I have soul gems, when I have about 160. This is only happening on one toon.

Updating about trying new self solutions. I tried login with my brothers computer. And ta taaaaaa. Not working at all. So its 100% server sided problem. So don't waste time for repair, redownload and ather stuff like that.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Could we maybe get some of the specifics if you have them? My character is also affected by this, and I'm curious to know where this issue comes from or what the problem was with that single line of code.

@ZOS_GinaBruno can you confirm this is not going to be like the discon issue about 18 months ago. I don't want to spend another five weeks before a fix comes about and continually getting discooned after 5-10 seconds.

EU ps4 player here, since thieves guild dropped i can no longer rez myself even though I have 440 full soul gems.. I can charge weapons and rez other players but not myself, please fix this.

Since day 1 of the TG update on ps4 it has caused this bug also it looks like i found a new bug so i need you lot to test this out,it looks like the emote yawn has bin broken and dance now mimic s khajiit dance ill keep hunting down for more possibly bugs .

Yeah about ten days now, for me. I notice I didn't get a reply to my previous message. If anyone watched ESO live, the they did touch on the issue. Obviously it a very niché issue, affecting only a small proportion of users so it's tricky to fix. They saaid they hope to have a patch fix for it next week.
