Crashes post hot fix (esp. In Imperial City)

I'm currently playing in the Imperial Sewers and Imperial City. I can play just fine, but any attempt to loot ANYTHING causes an immediate crash. Here are no exceptions. Every dead NPC, every chest, every sack, crate, etc. leads to an immediate game crash.
Anyone else having this issue ?
I was on my way to loot 28 (!) Dark Ether chests but I dare not now - I just know I'll end up losing the key and the loot!
The game was working fine before this "hot fix".
