Cash Grab?

Notice how they still haven't balanced this game after a year?
Or how they constantly debate whether or not to add an arena, spellcrafting, or new classes (which would be nice but please ZOS no you can't handle it)
I know, I'm nerd raging. But if you're going to take my favorite series ever and make an. MMO out of it at least make it look like it isn't a cash grab.
You guys can ask for all these things you genuinely need, but unless it is DLC with a price tag, I doubt it will take priority at the office or ever get made. They seriously flopped this game and will be playing desperate catch up until their contract with Bethesda ends.
Anyone else feel the same?
I've been the most optimist person since launch bit I'm tired of waiting for things to get better or even decent. It's a skinned mmo that failed and that's about it. Sorry I played to V16 360CP. Big waste of time.
Annnnnd troll me!

This type of thread is status quo for forums not sure why you're afraid of being trolled.

I have a lot of fun doing skillful PvP man. It's awesome, had some great fights tonight. The lag is rough and not excited about the balancing but it's an awesome game other than those things for me.

You're right man PVP can be fun. Even after getting my butt kicked tonight I have a blast. And yeah I know forums are always a place for this.
But after a year I'd at least expect a new class, an arena, or something.
Instead their still replacing the veteran system, balancing PVP, and only adding bare minimal PVE content.
Does this bird ever leave the nest?
I should add, I pay for plus. Maybe I just expect more because I work in mobile gaming, but not massively multi-player. Must be tough. But I'd expect over compensation, not desperation like giving away a million dollars.

The prices are actually pretty cheap compared to other MMOs out there...

Yes they are. But the original intentions were not so.
Only after the failure of their "paid beta" that they never admitted did they drop the sub.
I guess I saw a great opportunity that never got properly executed.
I'm not here to say this game is bad. Just makes me sad to see how bad it went. They did make some major fixes to gameplay mech, but that should have been fixed long ago. At this point they should be pumping put shiny new content left and right.
Sorry I just love ES games. I had high expectations years ago when I learned they were making an MMO and prayed it wouldn't turn out like this.

I was also very optimistic for this game. A MMO based on the TES series, what could go wrong? Big company (at least that's what I though), big IP. I was never looking for a WoW-killer, but I thought this was it.

I bought 3 physical imperial editions (actually 2, but they messed up by delivery and I got 3). During beta the game was awesome. I was a bit disappointed about invisible walls, zones and no swimming underwater, but the game felt great.

It looks awesome, it played fluid, we have Cyrodill for siege warfare and keepwalls crumble when you damage them.

Well anyway, I was so happy with this game I subbed for 180 days instantly. I even bought the pluche guar, mudcrap (and later on the netch).

Well look at it now. It does feel like a cash grab. Since they went B2P, all you see is new skins for mounts, motifs rarely drop (they were rare, but now even more rare) but are for sale in the cashgrab shop. The latest pluche (netch) didn't even have a digital pet with it, no it's in cashgrab shop only. DLC is pushed out before it works. Hang on guys, we are working on fixing stuff but first we need the push Dark Brotherhood later on. But wait, there is more. Limited buckteeth donkey mount available only for 4 days. Grab it while you can deals. (only fools fall for this scam. How can a digital item be limited. Just keep it in the store so all can buy when they want to. But no, they prey on the weakminded)

I still have a glimps of hope somewhere. PvP is great in this game, except when the steeltornado proxy groups start to hunt. I came here for castle sieges/defences and overall have fun. It's still there sometimes, but it gets ruined by lag, crashes and annoying long loading screens.

Tomorrow I have a day of work. I have to do some chores around the house first but i'll try to PvP. I have a 5 crash limit tomorrow, then I go try to finish witcher 3. I have Witcher 3 to long already, but I rather PvP'ed in TES.

Edit: I always type guard when I mean guar

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Yes that is exactly how I feel.
I still PVP and dueling is fun but the rest of the endgame PvE content besides trials (because friends) is pretty lackluster.
This could turn around quick if things like guild halls, arenas (pvp/pve), and more in depth PvE content is added to alleviate the grind fever for players still leveling or attaining CP. Not sure if lazy, extremely difficult, or just like I said in the title. But what I do know is that they obviously have the money!

First and foremost, an MMO needs a CONSTANT stream of income, and if this game was subscription based, it would have failed long ago because people wouldn't have paid to sub in a game with this many issues. Second, ANY B2P/F2P MMO relies heavily on their in-game shop for support to continue developing the game. Overhead costs a lot, people fail to see how much it costs to pay developers, building rental, replace servers, let alone the fact that ZOS has not even recouped their initial development costs. And as for the $1 Mil giveaway, I doubt that came from ZOS' budget, more likely it came from Bethesda and would be tax deductible for 'marketing' costs... funny how it came towards the end of the corporate tax year. So yes, they need to constantly rush out new content even at the risk of it being full of bugs, just to maintain a revenue stream and to keep players interested in the game. I can understand this logic because ZOS is a 'for-profit' company and they need to maintain a steady stream of income- not only to pay their massive overhead but also to regain the initial investor investment along with hopefully squeezing out some sort of profit eventually.

As for the "only fools fall for this scam", just because it isn't something YOU want, doesn't mean other people don't want it. I have yet to see them add anything permanent that they once offered as limited time only. So yes, limited time means limited time and may or may not reappear again for a limited time. So if you want it, then you grab it when it's available... I fail to see how this is a scam or has anything to do with being weak-minded.

I played many other F2P or B2P and they weren't even close of being that obvious at cash grabbing. Even Allods Online was more subtle. And placing items in the shop for 4 days, yes that is praying on the weak. They can easily place it in store for 1 year. I wouldn't buy it at 4 days limit and also not at 100 year limit. If they really want to sell stuff in the Cashgrabshop, then place something worth in it. Make pets usefull and allow them in cyrodill.

But no, all they make is cheap skins for already existing models.
