This is why I turned off area chat in cities on PS4.I am surprised THAT is the sound that bothers you.
More than any game I have ever played, ZOS has a sound team OBSESSED with creating intentionally annoying and ear-piercingly obnoxious pet sounds, turning every town experienced into Old McDonald had a Troll.
Apparently they are under the mistaken impression that causing other people pain and frustration is "cute" and "fun."
That is because they are sociopaths.
This is confirmed by their refusal to add a separate pet sound slider.
They WANT you to suffer. If combat completion is the sound that tipped the scales for you, I am envious.
Some people on this forum are super negative.
The audio in this game is very good. Whoever works in that department is really good. Sure some of the pet noises are annoying but the mixing and scores and weather effects are outstanding. I am an amateur audio engineer and these guys are great!
Keep up the amazing work audio team!

ZOS knows I love them. I was only kidding about the whole sociopath thing.
The sound is really good. I do believe though that they go out of their way to make certain pets sounds intentionally annoying.
If I would play that much ANY sound would be too muchvyndral13preub18_ESO wrote: »Some people on this forum are super negative.

I dont think they do it on purpose. They just make the same mistake ZoS has made several times since launch and forget what they are doing. They are making an MMO.
They forget what it means. That at times people will be playing their game hours in a row day after day. Some times doing the same thing over and over for hours on end. So while that sound or noise you put in was cool when you played your game for 15 minutes in the office testing it. Once you have had to listen to it for several weeks a couple hours a day. You just want to make the damn thing stop.
