TG - Bug - Forever hold your peace

Just checking to see if anyone has been able to complete this quest.

I am able to progress the quest to the point that Ziera recognizes the merchant lord, but not beyond that. The quest tracker states to escort zeira to the palace but does not update beyond that, and Ziera becomes impossible to interact with at that point. I have tried relogging, abandoning the quest and starting it over (4 attempts at this) and with each attempted start over choose different options such as a different date/outfit for the event. Nothing seems to get it beyond that quest stage.

So have you been able to complete this quest? and if so, what combination of choices did you use to do so?

Still looking for help on this? Anyone know how to progress the quest past "escort zeira to the palace" objective.

Try pickpocketing on the of the waiters, if that's the right stage. I dont know how to do the riddle coming up though, if that'll be another problem for you.

I did it today and had no problems. I picked Quen for a date and the fancy noble costume for myself.
At one point I had to get some wine to bribe a servant, if that helps at all.

I am having the exact same issue. Also tried Pickpocketing the Key but the Door does not activate. Did you get this resolved?

You have to bribe a servant with wine to find out where the Lady (I forget her name) is located in the palace, and you have to pickpocket another one of the servants (with trays on their heads by the kitchen door), to get the key to enter the palace. Then Ziera will talk to you by the kitchen door. Then you go in, sneak your way to the Lady in question, continue the quest.

Those were the options i chose and got to the pick pocketing the waiters part and got stuck till it was pointed out thats what i had to do. Just couldnt figure out how to interact with the waiters, never considered pick pocketing them.....lol Rest went really well.

Thanks for the replies but I am still stuck. I just watched a video on youtube of what is meant to happen.

The problem is that after the Cosh reveal you are meant to talk to Ziera to advance to the pickpocketing etc stage, but I just cannot talk to her, she has the talk option but nothing happens. I deleted quest and restarted and same thing occurs.

I have submitted a ticket but elsewhere on the forum someone stated they have done this 3 times with no reply about this quest.

Still no solution for this? Having the same issue, already tried relogging and restarting the quest with different companion and dress.

No, still not able to progress quest so cant progress on TG storyline. I have restarted this quest so many times I hate it now! (although the man after some Chicken still makes me chuckle)

I submitted a /bug and suggest you do the same so it gets more attention.

I already did that. Customer Service told me to leave the area, log out for more than 15 minutes and repair the game client but none of it has changed anything.

Disappointing no mention of a fix for this in the patch notes. I know not everyone is getting bugged but there are quite a few of us that cant carry on with the TG questline because of it.

Has anyone with the problem on NA servers tried it after the patch? I am on EU and will try tomorrow.

Ps 4 still having issues I identical to OP. Cannot talk to Ziera to progress the quest after cosh appears. She runs to a table and has talk highlighted but won't actually let me talk to her. Can't progress this is very disappointing

@ZOS_GinaBruno is anyone working on fixing this? Is there any tired and tested way to circumvent the bug

I take it no feed back yet and quest is still broken.

I really wouldn't make such a big deal out of it but I'm doing these quests on one character, my one thief. The one who is going fully into thievery and getting the passives instead of taking up crafting.

and he wont be able to finish the story now in the DLC built for him, and he cant even earn the fence companion reward.

I removed all add-ons, re-installed the game, and I tried more than 10 times in different day, and no progress.

its bugged on PS4 too where there are no addons and everyone's hardware is universally identical. The bug is in zenimax's software. And it appears there is no way to resolve it.

I'd like a FIX please. I subscribe and i buy the DLCs with crowns but i will not buy the TG DLC whilst it doesnt even allow me to complete the main story. Can we at least a "we're looking into it" or "/Lurk"

Still bugged. You fixed some quests on patch notes but not this so bumping it again. Please fix bug cannot talk to npc to progress quest after the speach

And in order. The book should give you a clue as to what that is.

A friend of mine got stuck at the Ziera dialog after the Cosh reveal and I tried everything I could think of to help him try to get past this point. We were playing together up to here and so we're effectively both stuck. We were hoping to get thieves guild completed before the launch of Dark Brotherhood.

Here is what we tried:

1.) /reloadui
2.) re-log
3.) Exit area and re-log
4.) Abandon quest and do it all again (it's a long quest - we did this twice, once before and once after the game repair)
5.) Exit the game completely - run a repair - stay logged out for 15+ minutes (while game repairs).

None of the above worked. Still stuck. She has a quest marker over her head but can't be interacted with at all.

i cannot do anything to the paintings, read the book, I'm just stuck in the room. I did contact zos but they just put me in a different town.

Has this been fixed? On Xbox EU.

Restarted the quest and tried it again after the brotherhood update but I still cannot talk to Zeira when she stands in front of the table.

I hate tagging Devs. it feels so needy, but i would really like to be able to complete this quest line now please. So I would be very greatful if someone could confirm this problem has been successfully bought to your attention? and is on a list, even if its at the bottom of said list.

Thank you for your post. We've gotten reports from several people affected by this issue since the Dark Brotherhood's release.

While we've been unable to reproduce this bug internally we added several fail safes to the quest with the latest update in hopes of resolving it. Unfortunately, they didn't solve every case.

We're actively investigating the issue again. I apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to get you unblocked soon.

Thank you @Jekerl. Would restarting the quest help with the new failsafes in place? If I still have trouble? Or will they apply retroactively?

An update on this issue. We're still unable to reproduce this issue reliably, but we have a fix in the works that we believe should resolve the issue regardless. It's been checked internally and should make it to the Live servers in a patch soon.

Willymchilybily, neither this fix or the prior one should require you to drop the quest and retake it.

Just to let you know, I was finally able to talk to Zeira and progress this quest after the newest hotfix.
