Heists: Deadhollow Halls

I'm sad to see this heist hasn't been fully corrected since the PTS. There are still guards that seem to make "incomplete" patrols, which means they never go past the relevant hiding spot, allowing you to bypass them. You NEED to step in their blue aura, even if briefly. Speaking of blue aura, these are still sometimes not showing until you go out of hiding and crouch again. Finally, the guards stop at the end of their patrols for FAR too long, making you wait sometimes close to 1 minute until they go back and allow you to get out of your hiding spot and past the guard.

Either increase the timer - providing some room to kill the odd guard or two when their patrols are wasting your time - or revise the guards' behaviour.

Finally, one thing that had never happened to me even on PTS is that on one of my attempts I got transported into a map with no walls, just the floor. I managed to walk around freely, even picked up one of the chests, and it only ended when I finally fell through the floor into a void.

out of curiosity has anyone beaten the timer yet....It seems impossible...As OP mentioned there is a specific guard patrol at least (or 2 if i'm not wrong) that leaves you no space to reach hide spot or even pass them...

Aren't heists supposed to be done by 4 people like dungeons? ( too busy with crashes, lag and main story here )

You can do it as a group but I'm not sure it's mandatory to do so. In this map however i don't think a group would make a difference...too many flaws

Ive beaten the glittering cave before the timer. Its not easy though. You get a box with a set piece and a purple edict.

I did beat the timer... with 3 seconds on the clock, and only after about a dozen attempts. It seems to be possible ONLY if you're extremely lucky about where along their path you meet the guards. If they're at the wrong spot and you have to wait one minute to bypass them, might as well restart the thing.

Every heist other than Deadhollow Halls is easily soloable within the timer. This one was always the worst one on PTS, and it still isn't fixed. They at least made the hiding spots visible - at one time, you would have to move along the passages and move your camera around until you got a "use hiding spot" prompt.

Yes I beat it today. It took me a good 4 or 5 attempts tho. Ended up picking up all the loot around the 4 minute mark and got out around 2 minutes to go. For whatever reason, the loot location on my final attempt changed from all the previous versions which made it vastly easier to complete.

Did you have any issues with it, such as the ones I described in my original post? Am I missing something about this heist in particular?

Just tried to do my first heist, glittering grotto. All I can say is I won't be doing any more of them even if they offered a guaranteed rare of my choice. Got 6 or 7 gems and was at the far end of the cave and I was trying to be quick; full night silence.

I should know better though, any tine I attempt a timed event in any game I generally fail mostly due to my age. Thanks for adding these for players that like the challenge, but I like to relax while playing and getting 0 reward for an failed event is not fun for me. I'll stick with pick pocketing.

There is a pretty specific way to go through.

Run through -> invis past the first guard and then pick up the loot from the chest. Go to your "RIGHT" and follow the tunnel. You will notice the large crates which you can use to shield you from view. It is vastly easier than jumping in barrels. Wait until the final clairvoyant guard is at the door facing the second room and literally run up behind him in sneak and dart to your right. You should have enough time to get past him without being seen despite literally being right in his pocket. There should be a barrel there in front of you as well incase you want to jump in it fast. It shouldn't be needed tho. Grab the second chest. Once you do this you have already saved so much time the rest should be pretty straight forward.

BTW i'm a vampire templar. I use rapid manouver's. I am thieves guild rank 12 and I run 5 medium 1 /1 and use invis pots.

I completed it with just over a minute left. I did try some times but you can run past some of the guards to skip a round of waiting.

I'm using full night's silence medium armour to, along with retreating manoeuvers. My gripe is not with the normal guards (they can't see you even if you brush past them as long as they're facing away from you). It's the freaking lantern guys with their slow rounds and the ill-positioned baskets. At least one of them on the right side of the map forces you to step in the blue circle and lose your sneak, there is no other way past him. And yes, I'm using objects/rocks to evade detection where available.

I completed it bonus included. As someone mentioned above you gotta be lucky after quite a few attempts instance reset and i got lockboxes at some...easier to get spots on the map. I went ahead, didn't care about timer, unlocked all boxes, abandoned quest and reobtained it. Saved me some time by not having to pick those locks on the boxes. :D

Tried 3 times and ran out of time without being spotted. Changed my course through map and finished with a minute left.

Problem is, the boxes aren't always at the same positions, so you can't always take the easier/fastest route. It comes down to sheer luck in getting optimum placed boxes and guards.

Deadhollow Halls came up again today for me... and I completed it within the timer on my first try. How did I do that? Well, basically there were NO lantern guards at all. Not one. Every single guard was the standard torch-bearing one without the clairvoyance circle around them, making them much easier to evade.

I've seen no official feedback on these heists AT ALL. I wonder if this was a fix or a bug. It felt cheap to me. I don't want to be given the prize without the effort, I just wish they'd correct the design flaws in a way that makes sense.

Deadhallows is the hardest when you have the Maulborn, but perfectly possible to beat the timer once you know where you can hide/which guard you can run behind.
I'll try to upload a video tomorrow or Monday if people are interested.

Never have beaten it.I just tend to give up and kill everything along the way to my objectives. XD
