    Even though there are a lot of bugs in it right now, I would have to agree that this patch feels better. I can't pin point the exact reason, but there just seems to be a little more variety on the battlefield right now. Maybe it's just players testing out the new stuff, so it may be too early to tell.

    ZOS mentioned today there are no changes to how RD works; you're SOL.

    A Templar strength unfortunitely comes from being forced to use other skill lines for burst/sustained range dps.

    In the previous patch, much of the mitigation forced templars to spam jabs and get close. Now templars have options as magic/elemental are blurred resulting in a jabs build utilizing destro staff and vice versa.

    A good Templar player is going to use a cocktail of combinations, with RD as the final icy on top.

    A bad Templar might spam RD, but an equally bad player is not going to bash, purge, use sprint to escape, pop harness magicka to absorb dmg into magic, use knockback/CC.

    I know that it sucks being forced to run certain stuff specifically to deal with a specific class, build, or skills, but there are counters available to Magicka and Stamina builds for Radiant Destruction. Venom Arrow, Crushing Shock, or any of the various interrupts in the game very effective against Radiant Destruction.

    Prox Det I agree is pretty difficult to counter. I think the damage it does to multiple enemies is AOkay, but I wouldn't be opposed to it doing 50-75% less damage when it only hits a single target.

    I had the most fun I have ever had in Cyrodiil last night. I also died more times than I ever have, but it was still such a great experience.

    My Magicka Templar held up well, and there was one specific moment where I knew everything was finally going to be ok. A shield stacking sorcerer went toe to toe with me in one of the towers at Alessia last night and we fought hard. I went low on health, barely healing myself and then I would counter and bust his shields getting his health low. It was intense, and went back and forth like this for over a minute. It felt balanced. It felt like either one of us could live or die. Then the unexpected happened, I killed him. Immediately after with zero stamina and low health and magicka a Dk rushed me with wrecking blow and I died, with a smile on my face.

    The 3 way at Alessia on Trueflame last night was awesome, it went back and forth for everyone and DC managed to defend up until I had to log. Everything felt the way a siege should, defenders had the advantage and the battle was prolonged which created some fantastic skirmishes. There were some mindless zerg tactics, but I did not once see a coordinated zerg ball from any faction.

    This is how 3 Faction PvP was meant to be. Making the Keeps harder to take is forcing the action to remain in one place which really made last nights battle for Alessia feel epic.

    Shout out to EP, I don't know if you guys took the keep after I logged but you deserved it with your tenacity.

But then again very few people had a problem with the ultimate situation before this patch, when Stam was capable of insane damage and with very few counters. And detonation is just too strong single target and when used by zergs. Zos really screwed up with this skill.

    Run hardy and wreaking blow hits like a hard noodle but still a noodle..Most of my WB are landing for 3.5k to 8.5k with most of them around the 5k mark ....after the 7th .. I have 3200 weapon skill and 3200 stamina and I have not hit anyone over 9K yet might be unlucky .... My dragon leap never exceeds 9k atm ..... My Leathal arrow has not gone over 10.... With hardy and Impen stamina has taken a 20% + nerf ... .. Its not BS its a fact....

    It ain't perfect but I've been having fun in PvP again. Especially non vet. No more max CP point warriors, siege is meaningful, my stam and mag characters feel pretty even.

    Considering a lot of Stam builds will run at least 35k Stam and over 3.5k, sometimes 4k, weapon dmg it's not surprising your wrecking blow sucks...

    What we are seeing is the great culmination of the larger issues at work. I.e.,

    Terrible (non-existent?) QA
    Ineffective management
    Poor communication
    Unimaginative system design

    What we end up with is bug-ridden, practically maintenance-mode worthy cash grabs. I have been saying since IC, enjoy ESO for what it is, because it is never going to get any better. So once you stop enjoying it, just call it a day.

    Like another poster said, 1.6/1.7 was their real chance to make this something better. But here we are. They don't even know why run speed is reduced.

    EDIT: to be fair, what always held this game up was the great talent that does exist in places at ZOS. Combat (used to at least) have a great feel, and the visuals and audio are top notch. Pretty good character building system too. Decent customization. But the drag of the other factors listed above has just gotten to be too much.

    Yeah its called hardy cp. Finally we have some defense against stam. Now you know what it was like to play Magick last patch when people stacked hardy, elemental defender and critical resist. Wet noodles hit harder.

    It wasn't insane, when you have that many people voicing their concerns there tends to be a legitimate issue.

    The issue is those who grew accustomed to a meta where in their builds could kill and not be killed. It's probably been awhile since they have died - they're being served their own dish and they don't like the taste. Let me assure you I still got wrecked by wrecking blow & surprise attack spam, they still seem very lethal to me.

    Do you even play a templar ? i guess you don't. Most "QQ" like you say comes from experienced players, usually playing since PC beta and playing all 4 classes. Templar is still by far the whorst class, period.

    Loving this patch! Keep takes last longer but its not because TTK is high. If anything I die more often now. But forward camps mean more players can keep fighting at keeps, so we all spend less time noodling around the map trying to find fights.

    Also I'm magicka templar and it is so much more fun. Javelining people off keep walls to their deaths is my new favourite thing.

    Healing is more complex and I'm okay with that. Spamming BoL to keep a group up was not all that interesting. Still figuring out what works best.

    This patch needs to hit consoles already. I'm tired of my Magicka DK who's wearing 5 pieces of impen getting hit for 13k executioners when I'm still over 50% health...don't forget those 7k bleeding ticks from the pros who use 2h axes...Because you know, they're pro MLG players who want to "1v1 me on my NB bro"

    RIP stamina builds. As a magicka build you recharge magicka even when moving in stealth so will always be able to attack and defend. As a stamina build no recharge whilst moving in stealth so you have to wait for your stamina to come back up before attacking or defending.

    My build focused on stamina regen so I could move in stealth and not have to rely on running with a zerg for protection. As a medium armour user I can't shield stack nor do I have the protection of heavy armour. Due to keeping my Stam regen high my weapon damage unbuffed was only 3k and my stamina 30k, I'd use drinks to buff my stamina regen to 2k, meaning I'd still get stamina back whilst moving in stealth (630 reg whilst moving in stealth). Now for pvp I can forget about soloing, the only effective way I can PVP is in a zerg where I don't have to rely on stealth. Funny though because I thought a nightblade was supposed to be a stealthy assassin, guess not as far as ZoS are concerned.

    Oh and don't even get me started on the bugs, dropping sound and other issues, sorry 'features' this new patch has brought to PVP :-(

    A Magicka build with low Stamina due to sneaking is a dead Magicka build. About time the regenerating Stamina due to broken Drink buffs is fixed.

    I just think the game needs to be sped up a little bit.

    Edit: and hardened ward should be nerfed too.

    To the OP you must enjoy LAG it's up 100% ... This patch feels like horrid... Why does this community accept this lag.... Maybe we are sooo accustomed to the lag we just accept it...

    I've never experienced such massive battles as I have in Cyrodiil since the update. They have been 3 way sieges in one spot with 500+ people. Considering that my performance has been very good, I've rarely seen ability lag, and when it does show up it's usually only .5-1 sec.

    Only? Most fights are over in 1-2sec...

    I would rather play with lag, which I do anyways since I play on NA from EU, than play the 2.stamina1 patch with zergblobs taking every keep on demand. I am yet to see a blob successfully rush into a decently pug defended keep. Dem sieges now huuuuuurt.

    Nothing Stam hits for over 10k? I call BS based on the 14k snipe that I was hit by yesterday and the 11k wrecking blow.
    As for 20k shields, that's a sorc thing not Magick as a whole.
    I don't disagree on the detonation or ultimate points, something definitely needs to be done about those. Make one ultimate morph Stam based for example, like class skills are. But then again very few people had a problem with the ultimate situation before this patch, when Stam was capable of insane damage and with very few counters. And detonation is just too strong single target and when used by zergs. Zos really screwed up with this skill.

    14k snipe? Sure if you're going to waltz into PVP with 7/7 medium or light armor with 0 impen. Sure even a 15k wb is possible. My dk in 5H/1M/1L with 2000 total crit resist., 18k armor and 21k spell res (unbuffed) gets hit by 4-6k wb/snipes.... The average tooltip of snipe is about 15k. In cyro thats half. So its about 7.5k average not considering armor/armor pen/crit/CP. If it crits that would be ard 10-12k. You should be able to easily mitigate most of that crit damage by running 5 impen pieces and having points in phy resist.

    So dont be too quick to call BS. if youre regularly getting hit by 14k attacks it just means you have a trashy pvp build. Or youre running a glass cannon zerg buster. Either way, you shouldnt be surprised....
