vMA leaderboards and save feature

From TG patch notes:

• If you opt to continue your progress in Veteran Maelstrom Arena via the quest, you will no longer have a Leaderboard time when the Arena completes.
  
• We designed the Leaderboards to gauge and measure player characters that wish to do the most difficult content in the game, and time is a major factor in that measurement. As such, if you want to be on the Leaderboard, you need to complete the Arena all in one go.

Since I'm having a lot of random lags and disconnects while farming this arena, I'm concerned if my chars can still get weekly reward if I dc'ed during the run.
I've been told that it shouldnt be an issue, because I'm logging back in immediately, but would be nice to see some sort of confirmation...

Should have been an option when Vma was released.... same with damage numbers and text chat.

On topic tho, the main reason I can't complete Vma is because of lag spikes. Ex: bars not switching, abilities not activating( happens sooooo much), and just straight up lag. Having full shields and health and then just drop dead. Then checking the recap shows 4 or 5 abilities that hit me, but never even showed. Got wrecking blowed the other day when there were only archers and mages alive in a round....

Still not on topic but yes you can stilly leaderboard I believe if you return immediately

Yes and yes.
I have the same issues and on top of that I disconnect all the time...
I usually farm vMA on sorc, because on this char I wont be killed instantly when lag happens... Was thinking about putting my templar and dk on weekly to increase my chances for destro staff (since score doesnt matter for these classes, there's not enough people to take all weekly spots anyway), but with this new save feature I'm not sure if I can claim the spot with all my disconnects.

Yeah, I think it should be the case, but its still a bit unclear in patch notes.

I believe you need to abandon quest and wait 5+ minutes for it instance reset
You need to leave dungeon for 5+ minutes for it to save your progress (if you keep the quest saved)

So yes you can quickly leave if you disconnect or whatever as long as you come back within 5 minutes

This is great (well, dcs are not great, but that means I have chances to get my weapon faster and forget about vMA forever )
