From the Patch Notes:
New and Updated Item Sets
We’re introducing new item sets which will be available from a variety of sources:
  • 3 new crafted item sets, available exclusively at the crafting stations in Abah’s Landing.
  • 2 new non-crafted item sets, available from Thieves Guild daily quests, the Grouping Tool reward boxes, or rarely from Thieves Guild world bosses.
  • 3 older non-crafted sets, revamped and available from the new Treasure Troves.
  • 4 new non-crafted sets, available from Maw of Lorkhaj as a drop, or from the weekly Trial leaderboards.
  • 3 older non-crafted sets, revamped and available from Maw of Lorkhaj as a drop.
  • 6 new Alliance War item sets, available from Rewards of the Worthy mails and Alliance War leaderboards, as well as the new Alliance War vendor.

This means there are at least 6 older sets that have been updated to V16. Anyone know which ones they are?

    I would guess random.... this Pauldron I just found is training ;)

    AND.... It is Heavy Armor for this Armor set !!!
    I remember Night Mothers Embrace as ONLY Medium Armor.

    Interested now to see what the new v16 night mother's embrace would look like with the 3 piece nightshade set (since before embrace only came in non-vet levels iirc so comboing them was a pain).

    The Pauldron was HA

    Also interesting is that 5-1-1 for the Undaunted is possible with another dropped set that is only MA.

    The set originally came in medium, which leads me to believe these sets are available in all weights. Would be interesting to see more sets get this treatment.

    Would be nice to know if weapons drop as well.
    That would greatly increase the diversity of combinations.

    The 3 available from Maw of Lorkhaj are the aura sets; Ebony/Savior's/Worm Cult

    I'm assuming the 3 older sets from the new trial are gonna be the wormcult, savior's hide, and ebon armor sets as they were made for trials in the first place

    The Shadowdancer can be added to the armor set upgraded to Vet 16, INCLUDING Weapons, that we can find in normal Thieves Troves:

    From what i can see, they may aswell not have bothered. I mean Shadow Dancer set, a left over from when soft caps were still in place and Hybrid builds were the norm? Darkstride set, wtf them traits, and why have a Staff lol? Only thing maybe even worthwhile is Nightmother set.

    Its almost like they looked at their stats and found the three most deconned and un-used sets and decided to make them V16. I would have much rather had a v16 version of dreugh king, werewolf hide or fiords legacy if they wanted to bring back old sets.

    Flame Damage dealt increased by 5%.
