Yes my first impression was wrong - that is basically what I wanted to say with it. I was misled by the few samples I had in the morning, but after further testing it seems to be much better than I thought at first. I am one of those, who admit if they were wrong and that is why I stated that as well.
Well, I saw a Camper last night on a Trove. While approaching the Camper did jump up and down as to draw attention to the location. I went over there and they camper clearly indicated that I should take the trove. However after that, they stayed there. I watched for a while and the Trove respawned in about a minute. I went on and did what I needed to do in the area, but went back and the camper was still there and pulled two more while I watched.
There were no other Players around in this cell.
So, the respawn timers on these do need to be adjusted, at least some of them.
Was the camper you @Miszou ? The reason I ask is this was right next to a fishing hole.
The bigger problem is the respawn rate. I've seen people camping spawn spots because those things were respawning in under a minute.

The respawn rate is insane and i walk 10 meters from one thieves trove to another one in the less visited silver and gold zones.
These Troves are in other zones?
Sorry, only been in Hews Bane and Orsinium since the update dropped.
They are everywhere.
Many people complain about lack of story quest or world bosses or delves, but the thieves main content are actually the daily quests all over tamriel with thieves troves on top of it.
Also the new trial ofr course.
There is plenty of gold in the game, but I would not suggest anything being changed right now. Take advantage of the troves as you can, because if it is giving more than it should it will be changed.

We have to buy your respect?
I found plenty untouched in just the second zone of each alliance. There was even one under the bridge that leads into Rawl with no one around it. You can't bank or trade stolen items, and there is a fence/launder limit, unlike resource nodes. By the time I get on, US west coast, no one's hanging around the troves anymore. That being said, I've hardly been able to grab a single one what with people camping spawns.

Why do so many people want respect all of a sudden?
One, it wasn't sudden, I have 8 characters and was holding off because I was hoping for a skill reset at the update. Two, they change many skills and CP, so I have builds to rework.

So far, I've found 4 troves out in the open world. 2 of them provided a box which contained some items. 1 gave me 450g worth of items, and just now I got 10 dices, thats 1000g. I don't mind a nice find, especially gold wise, but doesn't this seem a bit too excessive? It could break the economy I think.
Edit: Also, I think its a shame the troves glow by default, instead of giving us a passive to work towards, that gives us that ability like with the crafting materials in open world.
What does everyone else think? Are the troves too good?
