Yes you have to go to the game files for now and do it. Make a shortcut and drag to your desktop for easy access in the future.
While I agree that they should provide a method for accessing the 64-bit client via the launcher, did you just seriously suggest that simply running a file manually is "a bit of a hack or 90's DOS thing"?? Really??If you downloaded over steam it's in the Steam/Zenimax folder - ..\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU (or NA)\game\client. In the "client" there's eso64.exe
However, I really hope Zenimax will include an option in the launcher for us to choose 32 or 64bit. The current option to manually go to the ESO directory and start the 64bit game is a bit of a hack or 90's DOS thing

^ Vast majority of people don't know what "directory" is, let alone browsing the files outside desktop/pictures/documents folders.
We live in the world of icons, taps and clicks. It's just the way it is.If Zenimax wants majority of people to use 64bit client and cut as many bugs as possible, they have to include that option in the launcher.

I agree. Either that, or explain it clearly within the permitted number of characters on FaceTwit.
