I think they mentioned on an eso live episode that they had such a concept in the early stages of dungeon development. However, if you opened the chest it would explode and wipe your entire group no matter how far you were from the chest xD

Hehe, I know those from the Torchlight games^^ Not sure if they would fit in the Tamriel environment, but if they would be added, I sure hope they come with some decent loot

a Mimic is else then a chest with a spawn trigger :P

A Mimic is looks like to a normal chest and spawns like a normal chest. Except when you open it, its attack you.

update: there is a mimic from DS2

Could you imagine if they stealth patched them into the game..... gives me PTSD flash backs to the first time i saw one in Dark souls *shudders*
