Wait... Saving her gets you a skill point? I thought you got zero from saving her, meaning the book gets you two extra.

If you cure vampirism and had skill points spent in any vampire passive/ability, you have to do a skill point RESET to get those back. It's the only way.

Lame. They should give the same amount regardless of the choice. Punishes those who have a conscience

I totally do not recall that at all. I've done that quest 4 times, and Sheo says, on two different occasions, that if you let her go with him, he'll give you a book worth "about a half-dozen of those sky-shard things." And the book does indeed give you two skill points. He never says anything about still getting one skill point if you choose save her.Taleof2Cities wrote: »

Uncle Sheo says in his dialogue that not saving Velaste will give you an extra skill point.
That's not wrong, and perhaps you should more carefully read what he wrote, before accusing him of spreading false rumors.DannyLV702 wrote: »kylewwefan wrote: »If you get Vampirism Cured; do you lose those skill points?

thats wrong, stop spreading false rumors. you get all skillpoints back, no matter if you are vamp, human or got cured with assigned points. you get ALL back

That's not true. You get no skill points if you save Valaste. So you either have 298 total PvE skill points if you send her off with Sheo, or 296 if you don't.Taleof2Cities wrote: »FLuFFyxMuFFiN wrote: »TequilaFire wrote: »In the final Mages Guild quest did you opt to give Valaste to Uncle Sheo (2 points) or save her (1 point)?

It's one skill point for choosing to save Velaste ... and two skill points for letting her go with Sheogorath to the Shivering Isles.

After skill point reset
Character 'A' has 309 free skill points
Character 'B' has 305 free skill points
Character 'A' has PVP rank 12. (12 skill points)
Character 'B' has PVP rank 7. (7 skill points)
Character 'A' has 309 - 12 = 297 skill points from PVE.
Character 'B' has 305 - 7 = 298 skill points from PVE.
Character 'A' and Character 'B' both of them they did it all skill point activity:
Here is the 298 skill points activity:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Skills#Earning_Skill_Points
- Leveling your character, up to level 50 (49 Skill Points)
- Gaining Veteran Ranks, up to Veteran16 (15 Skill Points)
- Completing quests in the main quest (11 Skill Points)
- Completing quest chains in the Dominion, Covenant, Pact, and Coldharbour main storylines (49 Skill Points)
- Completing the Imperial City storyline (1 Skill Point)
- Completing the Reforging Orsinium storyline (3 Skill Points)
- Reading the Folium Discognitum (Optional quest reward from Mages Guild quest chain) (2 Skill Points)
- Absorbing skyshards (123 Skill Points)
- Completing group challenges in public dungeons (18 Skill Points)
- Completing group dungeons (16 Skill Points)
- Completing Veteran dungeons (8 Skill Points)
- Completing Imperial City dungeons (2 Skill Points)
- Completing Orsinium Maelstrom Arena (1 Skill Point)
As of patch 2.2.4 the maximum number of skill points a player can gain is 348 skill points.
348 - 'Ranking up in the Alliance War (50 Skill Points)' = 298
297 <> 298
on Character 'A' missing a skill point. Character 'A' is my main created at April 2014. There were many skill point problem in the game (group challange, quest hub etc). But they said all repaired, and after a skill point reset I got all skill point that I earned.
But then Where is the missing one? :S
With both characther
VR16 done; All quest done; IC, Orsinium story quests done; All skyshards done; All group challenges done; All group dungeons done; All veteran dungeons done; IC dungeons + Maelstrom Arena done too.
Okay it's just one point, but even bother because character A is my main, and always has skill point problem because of six crafting + 3 set up + etc.
I wrote a ticket ~ 1-2 month ago, the support answered, but it didn't help to me. I was so angry because of the ridiculous answers that I decided not worthy of a response.
Today again needed a skill reset, I thought I write on the forum to see if anyone saw or heard anything about missing skill points.

Following this popping up in another thread, I looked into it a bit more. Here's quoted what I posted in that thread:HOWEVER, I believe there is/was a bug in the God of Schemes Main Quest. Depending on your choice of Companion in that quest, you may not get a skill point at the end of it.
Quite. Which is why it must be a bug. I've managed to find some videos from 2014 which illustrate this theory:It this true?!? I have never noticed but I usually always sacrifice Varen... I'd expect you'd get a skill point no matter WHO you selected since the conclusion of each main quest always granted a SP.I have a theory that I haven't yet been able to test, but it's something you could add to your support ticket for ZOS to look into.
It's possible that at least one of the three endings for the final Main Quest "God of Schemes" is bugged, and does not give a skill point, whereas the other two do. Specifically, based on the page history, I believe sacrificing Varen may not give a skill point, while at least one of the others does.
Lyris sacrificed: https://youtu.be/5ua_H3qpzIA?t=40m48s 1 Skill Point
Sai sacrificed: https://youtu.be/IsAeONy7YxM?t=31m58s No Skill Point
Varen sacrificed: https://youtu.be/gaI8uGuQYwY?t=34m45s No Skill Point
They may have since fixed it (2015 and 2016 videos):
Sai sacrificed: https://youtu.be/pENp4rsJCVI?t=35m53s 1 Skill Point
Varen sacrificed: https://youtu.be/QuGo_wBo4Zs?t=12m54s 1 Skill Point
But even if they fixed it, maybe they forgot to retroactively add the missing point to those who had already completed that quest?
Yeah, that's why I never save her on my alts (I did on my main and it was a disappointment!). She can stay crazy forever if it gets me that second skill point instead of some lame weapon reward.
