Originates from Blizzard's game Starcraft where zerg were one of 3 playable races, aliens like appeareance, zerg were characterized by using large numbers of weak units to swarm the enemy,[...] Units were cheap to make and it was possible to make extreme numbers in short period of time.

Nowadays term zerg is used in mmo games to describe force consisted of large group of lower level players (often with only basic equipment) who use numbers rather then strategy to defeat the enemy, therefore requiring no skill. This tactics is commonly known as zerging

Though I would argue about the part saying it must be low level players. For me, a zerg is just a very, very large group.

I agree, but people have a different opinion just what constitutes a "zerg". I've seen people say anything over one is considered a zerg. -shrug-

As stated previously the definition of zerg is very much blurred nowadays. Most seem to consider anyone with a bigger group than theirs a zerg. IMO a zerg in ESO is anything larger than a full group that isn't organised. Example 30 random AD PvDooring Alessia is a zerg. A group of 30 of an organised guild, say Divine Force's group or VE, is not a zerg imo. Zergs to me are mindless groups that run head on into battle spamming random skills. No strategy, no thinking required.
A lot of people who vote here will be biased. Very few would be able to say that their faction is the worst for zergs.
Currently in game there is only one group that, imo, consistently "zergs" and that's Pact Militia. (Annnd wait for the hate...)

For EU Azura definetly EP because of Decimation Elite, however other Alliances are not far behind.

On EU PC Azura, EP is leading by far. Yesturday evening they were expecially frisky, burning everything from BRK to Fare with a zerg of atleast 3 full raids

all these people joining must have failed before very badly if they think they need 2 groups to take a ressource safely

... the same goes for when raid charges 1 person. I would like to see more people in a group back off and just let one or two people handle that one person. The blood lust is real I guess

I was playing AD the other day and we had a group of most low level players, I was the only Vr16 in the entire group and I lead them to victory by Managing to hold of a Large Zerg of DC which consisted of many Vr16s who were former emporer, we had managed to hold off the DC zergtrain for over an hour by using a smaller lower level zergtrain.

On NA Azuras - Always EP.

EP is constantly losing because they only zerg. They literally bring the bulk of their faction to take a keep.

DC zergs are smaller because they are coordinating between guilds / pugs to take multiple keeps. DC tends to be more focused on actually winning the campaigns.

AD are too busy ganking people on ponys or running ball groups at resource points. When they zerg they tend to bring multiple raids just as EP does.

I said banana because I knew EP would be the highest ( they are the biggest Zerg ), however my experience is that yellows aren't far behind these days.

So I was just adding the yellow statistic to help out

Haven't seen a blue blob bigger than the other 2 in a while so will stick with my answer.

Azura - AD for sure. But I switched to Trueflame and we (DC) swarmed like ants in there.
