Concerned about going to veteran ranks

My biggest problem is with the vet ranks and cp system.
-I don't mind grinding from 1-vr16 but I like pvp well non vet pvp.
-my thing is this I heard it take hours to get just 1 champion point.
-I can't go to a vet pvp server cause I'll get blasted every time.
-I like the game but does any have any suggestion to even go to vet ranks or stay non vet?

    Not true unless you already have lots of CP. If you're just starting out you will be getting CP all the time thanks to the catch up mechanic.

    Battle leveling is much better nowadays. Make sure you have good gear at or near your level and you should be fine.

    Some people really like non-vet PvP but I don't think vet is all that bad... and this is coming from someone who doesn't PvP all that much and would probably be considered free AP by most of the full-time PvPers.

    With TG BWB will be a non-CP campaign. Azura's in vet as well.
    When you hit V1 the CP will start flowing in. No it does not take hours they have a very nice catch-up mechanic.

    All man that changes everything thanks @Xendyn I was clueless to this cp catch up cause I seen on the forums how long it takes

    I think it's around 33k XP to get your first champion point, and the cost goes up slowly after that until you need 400k xp to get your 445th CP. So with enlightenment you only need about 8k xp to get that first CP and you can get that by sneezing on a couple packs of skeevers.
