Was just wondering because I'm on console and can't really test it. Also i remember jabs is classified as a dot for some reason... so does it proc the 2h axe bleed tho?

Yes it does, any melee attack procs the bleed from axes, meaning if its under a 7m range and doesn't involve a projectile, it will have a chance to proc the passive.

I actually just tested it out and it doesn't, which is really unfortunate. Wrecking blow applies the dot everytime but jabs never applies it. I get why they wouldn't want the axe bleed to have a proc chance for every jab but it still needs to have atleast a chance per 1.1sec channel of the entire jabs move. Wrecking blow is already op as it is. Have they fixed this on the PTS @Gilliamtherogue because my 2h axe isn't pricing off of jabs on the xbox.

On live the 2h axe bleed is bugged as hell, so you should probably test on pts again.

Are you referring to the chance to proc the bleed or the bug where every attack applies the bleed? I can't say for sure since I don't touch bugs like that, but I know the dual wield bleed from axes applies on rapid strikes, which is a channel and therefor a DoT, so it would only make sense for the 2h axe to proc off jabs, when it gets fixed. I'll pop into PTS and double check later tonight.

I'm only complaining because jabs is my main dps, which is also an aoe. If I had two hand sword or 2hand maul the passive weapon bonus would apply to all the enemies I'm hitting (5% extra damage from sword and 20% armor ignored with the maul). Now, if the axe doesn't proc off of jabs that means i've got to either use wrecking blow or weave light attacks between my jabs to get the 2h axe proc. That in itself is fine but then I'm only getting a single target bonus from my weapon which compared to the maul and sword you get a straight up bonus to all attackers. Just my two cents.

And I can't test on PTS I'm a console peasant, specifically a dirt farmer.

Was refering to the bug that allows you to proc it on skills where it's for sure not intended. I mean they obviously messed something up with checking weather an attack is melee or not, so it's not too unlikely that not every melee attack is registered as one.

But I tested it on pts and it seems as if everything but biting jabs is fixed. I couldn't proc it with ranged attacks anymore, but it procced on every other melee attack I tested, including flurry and all stamina morphs of nb skills

I can confirm that jabs foes NOT proc the bleed. However, when you think about it, this is actually a very good thing. If jabs could proc it, with a 100% proc chance, the proc is constantly being refreshed and will never actually tick damage since damage occurs 2 seconds after the proc. Currently it does tick DURING jabs if you Crit Rush, light attack, or Wrecking Blow before you start jabs.

After the TG DLC drops though, we will wish that jabs could proc the bleed because the chance will only be 16%. :(

Any PHYSICAL damage procs bleeding 100% guarantee when equipped with axe. The dot ticks every 2 secs and any new physical damage refreshes the timer if you deal it with the axe equipped.
Swapping to other bar and spamming tornado with 2 daggers doenst refresh it.

This means that Inner Beast taunt will proc bleeding. Kinda funny... "Oi, you!! Ur mom is fat horker!" ... *Opponent starts to bleed.

Well technically jabs are considered a channeled melee attack. Well I dunno if I'm right but that's my understand as the tool tip says 1.1seconds or something. I know for a fact it procs the imperial red diamond passive tho

Do 1 jab. wait 3 seconds, and you should see the first bleed proc?

if you spam it then it will reset the bleed timer proc everytime atm bc its a 100% proc chance and the bleed is still bugged.
Bugged? Everytime the bleed procs it "resets" the bleed. And we all know first bleed tick is after 2s. so it always resets before it actually can proc.

Tho wouldnt surprise me that bleed doesnt procs with jabs, bc Wrobel does a good job in nerfing templars

So much misinformation in this thread :D. You cannot rely on tooltips in this game. It's a sad fact, but don't ever expect a skill to work like intended without testing it. Not all physical attacks can proc the bleed, and some ranged attacks CAN proc the bleed, although the tooltip says melee physical attacks. Additionally, on live, the bleed applies with a 100% chance instead of 16%, and it also "overwrites" itself every time you apply it. It takes 2 seconds from the application of the bleed for it to deal damage, so if you deal more damage that (which has a 100% chance to apply the bleed) you will never see the bleed tick. Just another job well done by ZOS.

    With that said,
Jabs DOES NOT proc axe bleed on live.

Interestingly enough, binding javelin (a ranged ability), does.
