We need an incentive for achievements

I just have no drive to get them especially if they don't unlock anything we need SOMETHING for them I mean whats the point of scoring them if they give nothing? Hows about this: add a shop that sells vanity items for gold or AP but the items only appear in the inventory if you have a specific amount of achievement points.

Plenty of achievements offer titles and dyes as rewards, but to each his own.
To me it sounds like you want to go for achievements but you don't have anything to justify putting the work in. Well...just don't do them...
From what I can tell, every asset that ZOS has created for ESO has been put in your face so there's no way they're going to make new assets that only a select few players will ever see.

Unlocking the achievement is the incentive. They are mini goals in their own right.

Achievements are in and of themselves achievements.
They are a side line of the game, and we need no incentive to get them.Kinda like jogging. You jog five miles to achieve your daily goal. Not for do,e title or reward,..other than to say you did it.
I jump off a waterfall to achieve the goal of having done it.

Well in my case having more achievement point than my ex is a pretty good incentive

Edit: He still has 60 more CP than me tough :( maybe i should spend more time on the game than on the forums lol.

Completing Alex The Kid In Miracle World would be worthy of putting on your CV. That's truly an achievement.

Acheivement hunters like me and many many others will do them regardless of "incentives". If the self reward is not enough, remember no one is forcing you to do them.

I will add however that I hope in the future we do get more titles ( as it's getting to a point where most VR16 guys run one of 5 titles )

I remember when it came out on the sega master system, I was only about four years of age but that's where my gaming started. It's purchasable on the Xbox one by the way. It's Impossible, How we got past the first few levels as kids I'll never know.

I complete achievements regardless of the rewards because it gives me something else to do at end game.

I don't think every one needs to have a bonus item/title.

I completed that game when I was younger too. I was about 5 when it came.

A friend got it for some nostalgia recently, and damned if I can get past the first couple of levels now. How did that happen??

What do you mean. Man? There are only two dies in the game. Coldharbour Black and the dye from killing molagbal.

The one thing I would want to see added to achievements is unlocking more stuff like dyes. perhaps once we have barbershop, more options for there? Would be neat if you could get new hairstyles not only by bying them in the crown store (which I am failry certain they will make), but also through achievements... prison tatoos from justice achievements... jewelry options from regional achievements... warpaint options from PvP achievements... etc.

Maaaybe a few more titles as well.

But in the end, I'd be pursuing the achievements anyways for their own reward of having managed to do it. Some more fun stuff would be nice, but isn't really a requirement to go achievement-chasing for me... ;)

Ive suggested that after each Season ends, all Achivement points are calculated and players gets new currency based on that, what can be turned into Gold, APs, TS, Gold/Silver Key whatever player think is the most important. So basically in the between of the Seasons players can work on their Achievements. Nothing too fancy but useful, so players dont get too upset. Also if player doesnt like the DLC, he gets the goodies anyway and dont get upset. Also little spirit up for the new Season, so we can happily start it.

I'm with you, dyes and titles are great but why not an added XP boost when you get one?? When I started out I went around doing all I could thinking it boosted xp (obviously the actions added XP, I mean a little boost for say a set like lorebook collections)

I think the achievements are incentives enough on their own and their current rewards, I would however like for achievements to be account based instead of character based.

Tbh I have never understood the point of achievements and trophies. However if people like them, they like them. Different strokes and all that.

It's kinda like doing PvP. Going for the goal of getting titles and to do everything ingame. PvPers want to reach the goals in the same way pretty much. PvPers want to do it all until they are on top of the lists.Achievement hunters want to get all of them the same way.I dont understand the need to PvP either, but its fine with me.
(if they would just quit being upset about someone having better gear or skills,or NB's beating them, etc.)
