Multiple Mundus Stone Exploit... is there a fix???

Hello @ZOS_GinaBruno,

Has a fix been found for this exploit yet? All of the other posts I could find on it have been closed due to pics containing players names being in there. For anyone who replies to this, PLEASE DO NOT POST A PIC WITH ANOTHER PLAYERS NAME. We need this post to be OPEN so we can receive feedback on it.

The state of Azura of late is just horrid. Zergs and Zergs of unkillable players that take little to no damage from you. When you have over 400 CP, you ARE going to damage them unless they are using an exploit. I'm talking about the one offs who clearly do NOT have a shield on, or are blocking yet they take so little damage from you their health bar barely moves.

This exploit is one of the worst ones out there and needs a resolution asap.

Thank you for all of your help.

While I don't like bashing ZOS as it isn't productive.

Don't hold your breath for a fix, these kinds of issues take them forever to resolve. The only things I can recall seeing them do emergency fixing for has been EXP gains in dungeons etc.

Most bugs/exploits take a very long time to get fixed. Generally most thing we would deem exploitation as well are just left to go unpunished by the people that use them. In some very severe cases we've heard of bans or even seen official statements warning against use of them, however in most cases they don't/won't do the leg work required to ban players for these kinds of bugs being used.

Sadly bugs are part of the FotM for this game. :pensive:

I get that, they are actively investigating this for a resolution. I have also provided them with information on how this can be done so I wanted to see where it's at. They need to be able to duplicate it before a resolution can be found. We need an update on where they are at with this research.

Is there really still a multiple mundus bug?

The last time I was on; using my lowbie account, I got accused all night of having multiple mundus stones. At the end of the day I checked and didn't even have one mundus on. I've never abused the actual mundus bug, so it's strange to suddenly get accused.

I'm starting to wonder if addons are bugging out for people.

Oh yeah, people are abusing this exploit for sure. And they are working buffs.

ZOS could fix this somewhat by doing the following:
    1. Whenever a player changes Mundus it sets all other Mundus flags to 0, sets the selected Mundus to 1 (this would force all other Mundus flags, if they're set, to unset). This would allow people to reset the stone.
    2. For Twice-Born, whenever a player equips the 5th piece, prompt them to select the second Mundus (and give it a timer so they can't unequip, re-equip to instantly select another one). This would also solve the issue of accidentally equipping an item, and forcing the player to have to journey back to a stone to re-select the second boon. Just give it a 15 minute timer or so. This may not be "lore friendly" in game to be prompted to select a game mechanic, but it potentially solves the issue. And like the first issue, change the fields in game to so the Mundus stones are viewed as a "Second Boon". Give it a similar logic that whenever somebody selects the 5-piece, it resets the second Mundus.

They been so called "Working" on it for ummm lets see since the game has been out. I read about this bug shortly after I bought the game(when it was released). Chances are it wont get fixed. They make money off the crown store and not fixing bugs.

The same goes for the set bonus exploit and the khajiit passive bug. Any good dev team would have stopped creating content and would've put these problems ahead of everything else.

After seeing the last ESO live and how poorly and unprofessional it was I doubt they are capable of fixing anything.

That's not entirely true you know. I was knocked several feet from my ground the other night as a single enemy rolled through me and over my corpse.

It is much harder to get the multiple munduses now but can still be done. I did it on accident when switching from atro to theif on my second account a few weeks back. I ended up with both stones.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

typically when a player uses multiple mundus stones it doesn't affect if you can't kill them, they use the stones to make themselves more powerful.
sounds like you're doing little damage or a player is stacking impen or something along the lines.

Plus recent update on this bug was that they are working on it, currently there is no way to actively reproduce this bug it's only happening to certain players on new characters when a major update happens they bug out. So in that sense no one is actively exploiting this bug on a daily basis with a select step guide and hiding it from you. I'd say theres only about 10 people who have this, give or take. Most of them are probably bad players too, I don't know any well known player with multiple stones

Start exploiting, zos won't ban you. Seriously. Either interrupt a RP event, or call someone an offensive name OR have lots of people reported you for no reason in game is the only way to get banned in this game. So cheat to your hearts content, cuz then maybe they will fix the exploits people are doing DAILY, and might ban people for using them......who am I kidding lol I can dream though :)

@Nifty2g I get what your saying. Also, this post was created so that @ZOS would have a place to post an update on their status of this fix. All of the other posts on this were closed due to pictures with players names so we cannot get updates on those.

As far as Impen goes, does that trait negate damage from Critical hits? Because the description of it states "Increase resistance to Critical Hits by" so based on my understanding of that, it should lower our ability to hit them with a Crit, not negate all the damage from it.

This also wasn't just one player, it was an entire group who seemed impossible to kill even in one off situations. I personally fought about 5 of them who should have been out of the group damage/healing range and would literally take almost 0 damage from anything I hit them with.

Not sure it's the Mundus they are exploiting. I think it's the bl***ey bug. That still hasn't been fixed. I'm also seeing a perm speed exploit being used now too. Wonder if that's why they lowered major expedition from 40% to 30%. Typical zos fashion rather than fix the exploit, nerf the passive so it makes exploit less noticeable/relevant.

So what evidence is there are this actually happening? I see nothing that actually points to this being a legitimate issue still. Most of the players I know who were exploiting this were banned for an extensive period of time, then came back. I've seen many of them since they came back, and my experiences with them since their return have not suggested the use of exploits or hacks.

I'm not saying it isn't happening, but where is the evidence? ZOS can't do anything to fix it if there is no evidence of it truly being an issue.

You won't see any evidence (e.g. screen grabs) on the forums because ZOS deletes those posts for "naming and shaming". But I've seen a couple.

It's happening. I won't name other people I know have it, but will own up to it being true for my newest toon. No intentional exploiting, no steps taken differently than what has been done for all my other toons: grab the mundus closest to the starting town, just to have one. Then grab the next better one, then make a trip to get the one that suits my build at level 20 when it starts to matter.

Didn't notice I had all three until I checked my stats after putting on my first set of "good" gear. I bug reported it and have screenshots of my character screen. I'm not pvp'ing with this character because of this bug, but I am continuing to level the build I want to have when the TG DLC drops. Staying out of cyrodiil feels like the right decision, but it's also crap. I didn't do anything wrong, and didn't choose this, but I acknowledge that it probably gives an unfair advantage in the non-vet campaign.

Interesting. I knew about this some time ago, but I'd heard it had been fixed (or saw it in notes or something, don't remember). I of course respect not outing other players and such. So you were able to easily recreate this, submitted a bug report, and still it hasn't been addressed? That's disappointing. I'd hoped something like this would get immediate attention from ZOS.

While I respect that you are admitting to having the glitch/exploit on a toon, I do not believe it is by accident. Once you have leveled a toon or two, you know exactly what you want and go straight for it; you don't 'collect' mundus stones along the way.

None-the-less, you can get rid of the extra mundus buffs on your own. Simply craft a set of Twice Born Star. Equip it, then un equip it, as equipping it will drop one mundus buff. Repeat process until you are down to a single mundus buff. No need to wait on tech help; no need to continue playing with an exploited toon. I am sure someone here would be willing to craft you a TBS set, even if only level one white gear, to help you get your toon straight.

Edit: @Robbmrp I mentioned a fix above. Not sure if you are looking for a fix for a personal toon, or if your post is more rhetorical in an attempt to get ZOS to take action to fix the exploit as a whole.

Believe what you want man, but don't assume that everybody's approach to leveling is the same as yours. I do "collect" mundus stones on new toons.

I start with the lady stone because it's steps outside of Daggerfall, then grind my way through Glenumbra. On a Magick build, I'll switch out for max mana or mana regen, then eventually move to the added spell damage.

Players have confirmed they are active. There are other threads on the subject where they where testing to see if it is UI or active, and gathering facts to turn over to ZOS.
