Concept: Skill mastery

A simple concept on paper may be hard to program but here goes: when you get all 3 class skills and or at least 1 weapon skill to 50 you can go to the coldharbor chapel to activate 2 shrines. It will affect a class skill tree and one weapon skill line and those skills can get up to 100 unlocking new passives and skills.

Restrictions and features: only one class and one weapon tree can be mastered the initial setting is free but changing will be expensive. if you change all mastery skills and passives will be disabled. Vet characters will gain experience the first time they set a skill IE a v16 will instantly master the first skill they set for both weapon and class. The master skills will be very expensive and very powerful. new ultimates are included and this will unlock weapon ultimates.

    Not hard to program. But this idea kinda goes against the philosophy "play as you want" as you'll feel compelled to always use your mastery skill line.

    The game is already heading that way I can't "play as I want"...

    The idea isn't bad but it touches a lot and I don't see this fitting with what we think is coming or how things work today.
    I don't see this going over well.

    BUT

    I do see this working...which is part of your idea.
    Once VR is removed, maybe they can expand armor and weapons skill past a max of 50 to 55+.....at first this utilizes 51 = VR1-4 and 52 = VR5-9, etc.

    It could offer new "morphs" which someone wrote in another thread and its an idea I think would work and is somewhat along the direction you're going but different. This can apply to class too in a similar way.

    Well it's basically about implementing more of a choice between the skills you run around with, wich is a good thing IMO. Only negative I see is that you might have to respec between PvP and PvE, so I wouldn't want something like this without being able to safe at least 2 skill setups (it's the same with skill morphs and CP, btw).
