Stam DK PvE Weapon Meta 2.3

Hi folks,
I've currently got a stam dk (Imperial, otherwise I'd consider switching to Mag DK once TG comes live). I know currently, at least in PvE for DK stamina builds, DW/Bow is the preferred layout due to access to excellent AoE with Whirlwind, (and if you have the vMSA weapons for the flurry), with use of bow for barrage/volley.

However, with the changes to bow DPS, and reduction to Whirlwind for DW, I'm curious as to whether 2h/bow would be a completely viable option in PvE (single target with 2h, aoe with bow (Bombard + bow dps buffs in TG). I ask this, because I absolutely love the 2h/bow playstyle.

Maelstrom daggers are basically made for Stam dks. 2h won't compete with cruel flurry. Especially with the cp changes throw down caltrops, scorched earth, poison arrow and rending slashes between your flurry spam and that's all it takes.

Yeah what he said above. Maelstrom Daggers and Maelstrom bow. You can do dungeons and solo just fine using 2H but you won't hit anywhere near the competitive numbers compared to that setup.

I'm even going to use it on my stam Sorc and we can't even get a crit surge heal off of Rapid Strikes.

time to finish leveling up my magplar to grind out vMSA for those daggers (not sure if I want to deal with the frustration on my stam dk with it).

Any suggestions if you do not have access to Maelstrom weapons? Feel i am lacking DPS with 3.2k weapon dmg on my 2H and only 2.8 on bow. 2H can be difficult on vet dungeons as you have to be in the boss's face subject to whatever he is throwing at you.

I tried bow DPS single target on PTS and I still could not really get any decent numbers....

AoE Wise it is viable tho, has always been viable.
