Does Flawless Dawnbreaker 8% weapon damage apply to abilities like Lava whip and Burning Embers?

No their magicka ability's . Any abilities that are magicka, the damage is based of spell dmg and max magicka.

Any abilities that use stamina, the dmg is based off wpn dmg and max stamina.

Apart from ultimates, ultimates all scale of whichever stat or dmg type is your highest, despite the fact if the ult does magicka or physical dmg.

Flawless dawnbreaker is for stamina builds
Dawnbreaker of smiting is for magicka builds.

Thanks, but do you know about dragon leap. I have read that is was the only ultimate that scaled for stamina users and that is why you see so mean stamina users use it but hardly no magicka users. Is this the one exception?

Ultimates scale with whichever stat is higher. However the dmg type does not change for them. Most ultimates do magic damage, some do elemental damage and dragon leap is the only ultimate in the game doing physical dmg.
