Favourite and Least Favourite Armour Styles

Hey, I was just wondering and thought it would be nice to find out which people's favourite armours are and which armours people hate.
Hopefully, it would be really nice if you could say your Top Heavy, Medium and Light armours and your bottom three Heavy, Medium and Light armours.

In my opinion:

Top Light - Dark Elf
Dunmer-Ancestor-Silk-Male-Robe-Front.jpg

Top Medium - Aldmeri Dominion

Top Heavy - Daggerfall Covenant

(One of the left)

And in my opinion

Bottom Light - Redguard

Bottom Medium - Ancient Orc

Bottom Heavy - Dark Elf

What are you guys' favourite and least favourite armour aesthetics?

EDIT: I added pictures.

I like allot of them... Bosmer light and medium, Daedric skirt, Xivkyn robe, Dunmer jerkin/robe, Breton because I like the little bag on light armour  I also like khajiit.

I hate Nord because of the horrible white fur all over everything and Ancient Elf is so ugly (apart from the gloves) I have no idea what they were thinking with those crazy heavy shoulders

    I like:

Light armor - Akaviri, Imperial (its a shame that most colors are broken on this style), mercenary. Would also vote for dunmer style if they would update the texture quality and make those brown parts dyeable, also EP robe style looks really good.
Medium armor - Xivkyn, Mercenary, Khajiit (except the helmet, because covering ears like this is stupid imo), Yokudan (Vicious Ophidian style), Daggerfall covenant style. Akaviri is nice as well... But only the top part, the flaps on this one are just enourmous. D:
Heavy: Khajiit, Mercenary, Xivkyn, EP, DC, Way of the Fire (Yokudan I guess?), Ravager/Ebon armory.

In general, I like new motifs, they're more detailed and mostly dont look like plastic, which is a common issue with old racial styles. If devs just stop attaching obligatory flaps to everything, I'd be happy.

    I dislike:

Light armor: Redguard (still hate the 1.6 change, it used to be my favourite style!), Primal/Barbaric (very low quality of textures and dyes dont work properly), nord (dat dirty low res fur!), orc (same, plus after 1.6 changes cleavage part looks really weird, it looks like the char is wearing vinyl bdsm suit underneath the robe), daedric (low quality and the design looks terrible imo), altmer (Those giant stitches? Really? And leather dresses in Auridon, yeah), xivkyn (only chest piece, I think that this turtleneck thingy looks weird).
Medium armor: Altmer (looks too crude), nord (greasy fur and stupidly oversized horns on helmets), orc (*** rings, dirty fur, eww), daedric (very poorly done and textures are just bad), dunmer (looks like plastic, non-dyeable parts), imperial (bad texture quality, almost impossible to dye), barbaric and primal (also very bad quality), and female chest piece on breton jack looks awkward imo.
Heavy armor: Dunmer (low quality, looks too bulky and the helmet is fugly), Argonian (dat helmet), Barbaric, Primal, Daedric (especially female daedric, the design is just hideous), Imperial (looks plastic, bad textures) and nord (giant horns and dirty fur strike again).

Yeah, ZOS needs to do some remodeling and retexturing for a lot of the armours. Many are very low quality and sllok quite shabby.

I think everyone hates the Dark Elf Heavy, probably needs a rework.

Not many people seem to like the Nord Medium or Light armours which I agree with, they look rather silly with the lack of depth and them all being skin paints. Nord medium fur and Helmet is stupid. Light armour just looks wrong.

NO ONE likes the Redguard Light armour adn I wish they could bring back the old style, I'm fine with the 'new' Redguard Heavy and Medium but the Light looks stupid, especially that Helmet (Vomit) They need to bring back the old light armour style but just make it more detailed.

Primal seems very disliked and probably needs a rework.

      @Forestd16b14_ESO

I think ZOS really needs to clean up and redo alot of the armours that were originally in the release of the game as the art style has moved to be more clean and less dirty which is good. Also you can see a HUGE difference in quality when comparing the newer costumes and armour styles with the older ones.

      @ZOS_GinaBruno

Do you know or would you be able to find out whether there are any plans to overhaul and redo certain 'Bad' armour models? Love ya Gina, thanks.

Ah yes, also why can High Elves not sew for Sh**?

      What is That? Ugh.

Why are High Elves so bad at stitching clothes? I would've thought they would be one of the ones to be more elegant with more delicate and fine stitching and patterns. But apparently they can't even sew a Breast area or a Robe properly. These really do make the armours look shabby and bad, not like well crafted expert adventurer or warrior armour.

Maybe it is a fashion trend, like in RL buying jeans, which look "worn out" - the bad sewing is just in the lower third of that robe, all other sewing is done well, so it could be an "artistic" feature or a fashion style. I like that robe though, well taste is in the eyes of the beholder.

I totally agree, it looks like they used goblin slaves to make these outfits. :(
And this is a shame, I also expected this style to be much more elegant.

My favorite overall is probably Khajiit. I actually like light, med, and heavy for them.

Worst is probably high elf light and medium. As many others have pointed out, what the hell is with the stitching on these armors? It just looks horrible. I cant imagine a craftsman of any race having such sloppy work. Altmer heavy is actually really cool, it might be my fav in the game of the original heavy armors.

All the original armors could use a little work. Instead uneeded updates to the redguard and orc armor they did a while back, those armors were actually good how they were and now they are terrible. , ZOS could have improved current crappy armors like all nord, dunmer heavy and such.

My least favorite armors are probably Argonian, with exception of light armor (I have a different least favorite on this, Ill explain in a bit).
I do have favorite armors my characters usually wear, but not all are 'pure'..
For example, going against popular opinion here, my favorite heavy armor for my DK is mostly Dunmer. Pure Dunmer? No, not so good (especially the pauldrons, boots, and helm).
But when adding a splash of Breton and a touch of Redguard, I think it looks much better-
      tQjJB6u.jpg

My 2 NBs are the only ones who wear 'pure' armor (almost pure, the Merc wears a Breton hat), and they are equal favorites. First is Breton-
      Nj6ilxm.jpg

      and the other is Mercenary-
      fyy3xf9.jpg

      * Sorry dont have a better pic of Mercenary armor, but due to possible issues this character faces from being...ummm..I guess we can just say 'morally challenged' or perhaps 'differently ethical', he tends to be a bit camera shy ;)

Last is my favorite AND least favorite light armor- Khajiit (with a dash of Nord thrown in to reflect my sorc's background)-
      Upfn85T.jpg

I really like the way this looks on her, that is, until she turns around. Then it becomes my least favorite.
For those who dont use light armor, it used to have giant ugly hip flaps that were 'removed' making this a much nicer looking armor. Problem was, they really werent 'removed' but instead placed inside the armor. So when she moves in certain ways, she has strange looking things protruding from her body, in places where strange looking things should not be protruding :o
With each patch, I wonder why this hasnt been fixed yet? But then again, I havent really made a report on it either. Reason being, in case they do decide to fix it. I really just dont know which is worse, odd looking objects jutting from my sorc's backside or those giant ugly flaps hanging on the outside of her hips :|

Pretty much hate everything in the game at the moment. I'd much rather have cosmetic modding than what's available now.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
      1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
      2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
      3) Difficulty slider.
      4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Yep, with exception of medium Breton and Mercenary, I agree.
Thats why I really like that we can play 'mix and match' with different pieces of different style and even different weights of armor. It enables us to create a suitable looking armor for our character, in case none of the 'pure' styles are to our liking, as well as giving them a unique look different from others..

Merc medium and light armor are best in class, IMO. Although, redguard medium is darn nice too.

Ayleid light armor is tolerable and was my go to prior to merc.

Breton heavy wins hands down. Nothing else comes close, IMO. (DC Black ROSE is nice as well)

Seen some good Argonian stuff although I'd never wear lizard apparel

Ugliest is a toss up between pretty much all remaining light armor. Just ghastly. Praise Akatosh for merc.

But absolute worst is the (wrestling) Road Warriors look of Nord heavy armor. All pointy and stuff. If I wanted pointy stuff all over my armor I'd just be a midget bosmer.
