Razak's Wheel Tricked Me

I had no idea that Razak's Wheel was a Public Dungeon when I was playing through the Covenant quests in Bangkorai. Because it had a side quest attached to it I thought it was just another solo dungeon with either the usual single enemy or groups of two to three. No, this place had groups of six or more, I couldn't believe I managed to plow my way through it, albeit losing my life a few times. Was that dungeon originally meant for group raids?

And in the end all I got out of it was a measly Dwarven spider as a pet which I won't use cause I already have a pet panther.

Last time I did a public dungeon with someone else was when my first character was level 7, and that was for around 5 minutes. I solo them because it's the only somewhat challenging content I can realistically solo.
As for your question, I honestly have no idea. I generally die a couple times while doing one, but I imagine that doing one in a group would be rather too easy. I think it was meant for people to solo if they could and group if they couldn't, or something like that.

Some public dungeons are definitely harder than others; the same can be said about the Vile Manse in Reaper's March and the Village of the Lost in Coldharbour; I guess because these are in the last zones.
