Nerf the F*CKING Emperor bonus

Does anyone at ZOS actually watch videos of what the Emperor can do?!? When they can stand in a crowd of 20 enemies (most of which are V16 Vets of Cyrodiil) and just spam Steel Tornado and Flying Leap and NEVER DIE ... maybe someone needs to really think about what the hell is fair. And yeah, this was a DK, but you can do a youtube search and watch video after video of Emps of every class being just stupid in their power. It doesn't even require skill at this point.

Talk about making someone not even want to play ...

I've also seen emperors get slaughtered by single players so meh. Just stay out of his path if he's that scary idk. I've never been emperor, but I like the idea of a strong scary player that will kill me if he sees me

Fight the other faction. Yes emps are annoying, esp when they have a train with them, but it's nothing new and time has shown that no emp has the strength to remain crowned. So either fight the other faction who don't have an emp, or group up and dethrone them. Emp bonuses give people something to work for, it must be a lot of fun.

Edit: it's just one guy in the whole of cyro, you really can't find someone else to fight?

Remember, there can only be ONE emperor, so it's not like you're bound to run into them often.

Unfortunately I have only faced former emperors, the victory is not nearly as sweet.

I wish I could say emperors earned this buff, and at one time they did. now I just see it getting farmed.

When one banner gains emporership, it is expected that the other two gang up on them. The emperor is supposed to help stand against these overwhelming odds.

Learn to play. Not a joke or a troll or meant to be mean. Emps are meant to be very powerful. They have been this way since beta. Soul harvest dark flare reverberating bash... Use them. Use disease enchants use empowered meteors cc knock them down you will not run them out of resources. When you get really good it only takes about 6 really good ppl to kill a good Emp. The most important and also the easiest thing you can do is dethrone. The emp cannot be in 2 places at once.

I have my part slaughtering an actual emperor once. 'Was hell of a job, (s)he was really good, with insane selfheal. It took 4-5 of us to get the better of him/her.

Truth to be told, I like challenging foes, I feel myself like in Morrowind/Skyrim

Personally I always thought Emperor skills should be group/crowed buffs.

I mean they're meant to be the leader of a faction at that time, shouldn't they have super warhorns and such? Rather than just high self buffs.

Keep the emperorship bonuses exactly how they are, an emperor is supposed to be tough.

EMP was fine before softcap removal, now its too much imo.

In all my time in Cyrodil I've only seen an Emporer once. It's really not that big of a deal.

1 in a campaign, it's mean't to be a strong character.

If their using bats, get away, debuff the healing etc...

As others have said, it's just one person. Yeah it's pretty over powered, but look what you have to do to get it. And then once you do, the other alliances will group up to remove you anyway, so meh.

I received my emp slayer achievement by killing him in a 2v5 (odds in their favour). And he was a sorc lawl.

I love going onto the buff campaigns of other alliances and trying to go for emp, usually their all pve farmers and their terrible.

Even the emp's are terrible as well.

Don't nerf them, it'll be too easy to kill them if they do.

I think the whole Emperor thing is stupid. DAoC never had an Emperor.. the zerg doesn't need a demi-god on their team and 9 times out of 10 its the zerg who has the emp on its side spamming proxy det and other AoE *** and recording YouTube videos showcasing how skilled and awesome they are at the game.

Last time I checked the act of being emperor doesn't make you god in fact it made you more likely to get killed.

2 or 3 good players can take an emp easily. An excelent player can duel with him for a while and even win. 10 zergs who know what to do will put him on the run. 20 mindless zerg who think spamming WB is an effective way to deal with an emp will be utterly defeated...

It is a L2P issue... sorry.

For all those who think this is a L2P issue, I have the Emperor Slayer achievement and the idea that 20 experienced PVP guild members facing one Emperor is a L2P issue is ignorance in the extreme.. Yes, I know they can be killed, but it's a *** level of buff. And when someone is Emp, you DO run into them a lot if you're actually doing your Alliance job (taking Keeps) , because they port where ever they need to be to defend.

The idea of "just attack the other faction" is silly. Might as well say, "well, there is an Emp online, let's go play PvE" which is what a significant number of people do ... or just as often, log off.

I've killed an emp 2v1 once. It's does depend on the synergy and skill of the people.

Of course when someone has emp the other two alliances are mean't to work together to get them off, though when people just zerg around and run in one direction this doesn't help.

When will people stop saying "stop comparing this game to DAoC ffs"? ESO took a lot from DAoC and DAoC was a successful three faction RvR mmorpg. Do your homework sonny Jim.

Also you claim to have beaten an Emp 2v1 and I'm calling that pure BS. Either the Emp was totally wasted irl or wanted to die or mentally impaired or had his kids playing for him. Or he was a Templar....

Lol, gl killing a templar emperor.

Me and a friend did, went on a Ep buff campaign, he was a sorc, the emp was a mag dk, i was on my stam dk.

You'd be surprised how effective using corrosive is, 8s of basically immortality while you attack the enemy with his 0 mitigation.

But yeah, stop comparing two separate games, DAoc did this or that, so what? It's not the same and never will be.

What you described in the OP is exactly what good Emperors are supposed to be, far above the average character.

Flawed game mechanic. One of the reasons this game went FTP... nuff said.

And leepalmer, like I said the dude was probably drunk or didn't give a *** or he was eating BBQ ribs while fighting you both. Do you have proof he was not? People driving a Prius think they beat me in a race all the time when I'm driving my car with 400hp and 400lbs of torque when in reality I wasn't racing to begin with... you get what I'm saying?
