Biting Jabs doesn't proc nerien'eth set?

Hey i was looking forward to trying this set with my stamplar but jabs doesn't seem to ever proc the rich crystal. Why is this? jabs isn't a damage over time effect is it? it proc fine with light attacks and other skills

    I believe channelled abilities are considered DoTs

    Do you have access to PTS? You could create a Templated character, use jabs while wearing Skoria and see if it procs.

    All channeled effects in game are calculated as Damage over Time abilities, and Nerieneths cannot proc on damage over time sources. This is fairly well known to the Dev team so you could take that as intended or something else. Regardless its always been like that and likely will for a long time after, if not indefinitely.

    jabs = dot => check the new cp stars ;)

    on pts, i have my 8k jabs critting (in Craglorn Wamasu mobs, major + minor sorcery)

    With the way the new CP system is, if you're a jab happy magica templar, valkin skoria might be a very good set. Anyone on PTS tested it?

    jabs is considered a dot? i didn't know that...well that explains it then. it's not really a dot though just 4 separate strikes.

    Anyway does the cp passive that increases dot damage also increase jab damage then? i don't have access to pts I'm on console

    It won't proc on jabs but I believe the crystal can proc off burning light. I think that puts it at a 2.5% chance to proc with sweeps/jabs, lol

    They're not making you. If anything, it's an option for additional damage to what you're doing now.

    Imo things I know of that shouldn't count as DoTs: jabs, Velacious curse, daedric minefield, and others.

    Curse isn't a dot. Just a delayed direct attack.
    Profanity filter is a crime against the freedom of speech. Also gags.

    Dual wields flurry suffers from the same issue of being counted as a dot even though its clearly meant as 6 individual stabs in a short space if time. Though if it worked as normal strikes it could make dual wield viable for single targets on my stam sorc but oh well.

    Technically it is the game engine treats it as a delayed DoT.

    That's a good thing for stamplars because rather than getting 25% from a single CP passive you get like a bit more than half as much from both.
