Vampirism gone wrong (?)

Hi. I got a bite on my L10 Sorc but had to leave the Scyon of the Blood Matron quest halfway through. When I logged on to the PS4 I realized I was outside of the Crypt of Lamae Ball and can't enter it, not even clicking on the scroll at the entrance.
2 questions:
1) when am I going to lose Vampirism if I don't see the quest through on time?
2) how can I defeat L38 mobs at my low L10? ^_^

for the second question, you can't, ZOS put the NPC that can bite you to transfer their malediction to you in a 40 level zone, this means that probably you need to be at least level 35 to have chance in doing that quest; the crypt where you can do the quest is an instanced zone, so you are only able to do it in solo.

about the first question I don't know just because I became a vamp when I was 45 so I haven't found any problems at all.

You can complete the quest at lvl 10. I've done it on all of my characters once I'm lvl 10. However I've always been bit by a player and not waited to find an npc for the bite.

Yeah, many, many people have completed that quest at lvl 10 so don't listen to the guy who said you cant lol! Also, if I remember correctly you have 7 days to complete the quest once you've been bitten. Hopefully that allows you enough time to get your issue resolved.

I have been bit by a player as well. The only thing I didn't count on, was that I had to interrupt the quest line and thought I'd find my toon *inside* the instance when I returned and not... on the outside. I think the Vamps might've evicted me! ^_^

Of course the lazy solution would be to buy me the bite at the Crown Store and get done with it.

Once you get back in there. Kite Kite Kite.

The mobs are very easy to pull one at a time and you only have to kill 10.

Never played a sorc, I assume there are self heals, use them.

Use the Vamp self heal that you get for the duration of the instanced quest when you get damaged.

Don't listen to nay-sayers. You can beat the quest even if you were level 6. I've been a vampire since I was level 7. You have six real life days from the time you were bit before it expires. As far as the glitch goes. You may have to cure yourself and just get bitten again.

i beat the quest at level 3 with the gear you get from the soul shriven pack.
this link shows a good strategy.
You should be able to get back in by returning to the altar and reading the book again iirc.

@Inarre that's what I did, to no avail. I'm AD and even got up on the altar in Reaper's March, thinking it might help! #Crazy stuff

If you can't get back in, the bite expires after 7 days if i remember correctly. That wouldn't be a glitch. If you left it less than seven days there is a problem.

I did the vampire quest at level 4, I might have been level 3 when I entered though.

The way customer service is these days, probably wouldn't help much. Is there a quest to abandon? you might try that.

Hey man, once you get the infection you have 7 days to complete.
If this time is not expired yet, you can just abandon the quest in your journal and start it all over again.

To restart you will have to read the scroll (if you were bitten by a player) or you will have to fina a NPC that gives you the quest near the wayshrine.

I can answer your second question. The zone shows the mobs at level 38, but they are not grouped enemies. I was able to do it at level 20, and I've heard of people doing it as low as level 3. If you are having trouble I suggest eating food or bringing potions and fighting an enemy at a time.

@Xendyn yes there is. I'd thought of that one before but was afraid it'd do even worse than I am ATM. It's called Scyon of the Blood Matron, like I wrote initially. I'll try me that one. Thx!

Dont worry about defeating them, it will be easier than you expect with your new vampire skill !

Delete the quest from your journal than activate the scroll again. you don't have a time limit as of orsinium

The vampire quest is easy to do if you know how even at level 3, for one you want to have a bow, then you want to have posion arrow as well as vampire drain on bar,f or soul trap, the thing is there is two foes you are able to kite, because of the stairs, sneak then attack the one near the water use heavy attacks then use either soul trap or posion arrow if you need to vampire drain because it can stun them, healing you at the same time, you run around to where the rock thing is and jump off wait for it to turn around then hit them with heavy attacks maybe vampire drain while running back around and doing the same if your really skilled it might be possible to kill the other two one down the tunnel after the stairs and one when you enter the second open area but to be safe just kill the two you can kite.

They changed that so it is permanent. Most likely because it was one of the ways to become both a werewolf and a vampire at the same time, so they made it permanent in order to prevent you from having both. I guess they really did not like people having both either.

Yeah i wanted to do it but never did it, but I guess people did it, got warnings to cure one of them, and then later on they made it so werewolf does not work if you have vampirism, so basically the vampirism is dominate, they might have banned people for having both as well if they did not respond to the mail warning them to delete one of them.

Either way even though I never did become both at once I knew how to do it, months before they found out about it and one of the ways was taking the quest and curing the buff while still having the quest.and the other was having the quest but waiting out the timer then the quest would still be in questlog, so yeah then you could finish both by waiting out the timer, or a glitch with the cure vampire buff or werewolf buff. Which I assume, both methods have been fixed. Which is the only reason I am telling you guys about it because they made it impossible to be both anyways now. Also one reason why I never went through with being both is the chance to be banned for having both and I am not stupid. But I guess once players found out about it on console, they told everyone about it and that caused them to do something about it.

I've got great news (as after all I'm not one to quit so easily...): I'm finally a Vampire-Alt-Magicka-Sorc-thingy-ESO-whatever. I decided to drop the quest, which allowed me to successfully read the scroll to enter the instance. Then kited the first 2 Worm Assassins (the one by the fire and the other up the staircase), after snuffing the first 4 my Internet connection kicked me out of ESO, so I had to restart all over, but by then I'd already gotten the hang of it and killed all these 2 mobs 10 times intermitently with my L10 Sorc without dying even once (plus 2 more while leaving to finish the quest; dang! 16 in all! ).

Heck! On one of the kills one of the assassins even made me the favor of dropping an epic-grade Cotton Epaulets of Stamina (L35) which I might either sell or use on my L32 DK. Phew..... So, to make it short, your bite did indeed produce the desired effect and your kind help and time wasted after all were no waste! I think this Vampire Sorc might very well become my #2 "main". Well what I wanted to say isn't that you would never be able to solo the questo for the vampirismo at level 10, but probably would be pretty hard because the zone is an high level zone (ad the NPC are), so probably the difficult is higher then a low level zone. Anyway is possibile to do that questo in solo also at level 10 there are also plenty of videos on the web to explain how to do it.

PS. I was bit by a guild mate too and also at my level (45) was hard, well I wasn't so good with that char :P

Q1: You can complete the quest at low level, but it is a lot more difficult. If you are on an alt, and therefore have CP buffs, it is of course a lot easier. If you are on your first play thru and lack a lot of the skills you develop thru later game play, then you might be much better off waiting.

Q2: If the quest glitches and doesn't allow you to progress, go to the Mages Guild in the Rift and get cured of the disease. You will then be able to get another bite and start over.

Side note: World Skills (Vamp & Werewolf) are scaled to the level you should get the quest. I don't mean this in terms of completing the quest, but rather in terms of leveling the skills. The further you are under the suggested level for the quest (high 30's I think), the longer it will take you to level each skill. Conversely, the higher you are over the suggested rank, the quicker the skills level.

You honestly may be better off waiting and leveling up some. Regardless, wish ya luck with whatever decision you make.

I don't think that the length of time you leave it matters... My friend literally did the quest today, after being bitten weeks, or even months ago, the bite never left

And the only buff I ever had was from food. The not-so-good-kind of it, just enough to give some more health. Oh, and I used a Resto Staff (green, as all my Alt's gear at the moment), in spite of the fact that I'm Destro (yeah, go figure).

I also didn't watch any videos, @Thevampirenight 's tips were enough (thanks, mate! You rock). On a side note I don't even consider myself to be a great player, just an average enthusiast for ESO.
