Need some advice with my sorcerer build

Hey all,

I currently have a Vet16 dark elf sorcerer. I was wondering if any pros out there could give me any sugestions to improve my build. The current build so far works great in pve but not so great in pvp. I'm using a mixed armor set and am currently working my way to make it gold:

4 magnus pieces
2 seducer's pieces
1 torug's piece

weapon1 torug dual weild
weapon2 torug restoration staff

This way i get some spell damage bonus and increased magicka and magicka recovery.

Here's the list of my current skills and passives
Is it better for me to stick with dual weild? or should i switch to a destruction staff? which skills are better for pvp?
Which skills are recommended on my third bar if I'm to use overload? any help will be truly appreaciated.

Thanks

    That question is highly subjective.

The dueling sorcs at the highest levels of play (IMO) are using destro, because you can keep a lot more sustained pressure on your opponents. If theyre on the back foot, theyre not a threat, and you can set up your burst kill combo much easier.

Personally, I am not a fan of dual weild.

thaks for your reply, i see your point i use dual for the famage boost but if a destro staff is a better option I'll consider it.

Offensively, many magicka Sorcs are using Vel Curse, weaving light attacks and Force Pulse while waiting for 1) Crystal Frags to proc or 2) the enemies health to be in Mage's Wrath range for execution.

Defensively: Hardened Ward, Healing Ward and Daedric Mines and this leaves a few slots open for your own flavor.

From my experiences in PvP, it is all about burst damage, so I would suggest armor sets that give spell damage. Willpower, Tourag's, Molag Kena, Julianos and Kagrenac's are all V16 sets that give great damage boost. I never worry about magicka regeneration. I use potions or Overload to regen magicka, but honestly, most fights are over (one way or the other) before I blow through my 40K magicka, but I am Breton too.

    I use 5 Piece Juli, 3 Willpower, 2 Toraug and 1 Kena

Another word of caution, beware Shield Breaker set users. Their light attacks do 2K+ unresistable damage with every hit.

    Long story short

    Destro + Resto Sorc

All you need is Curse + Streak + Frags + Endless Fury Explosion

Tag your target with Mage's Fury every 4 secs, spam Crushing Shock till you get a Frag Proc, Streak stun your target(especially dodge rollers) and Frag them just before Curse goes off during the window you have them stunned, this will cause Endless Fury to explode, good night sweet prince.

This method has worked since April of 2014 and will continue to work. I rarely use Magic Det simply because I don't like the 1.8 sec cast time on Inevitable, and Proxy Det just forces the target to move away form me defeating the purpose of being close enough to Streak stun them to give me the window I need to Frag them and set up the burst chain.

I know everyone plays Sorc different, but Germantrocity plays his pretty much the same way.

Also Sword and Board and Destro staff is an option too using Degeneration and Surge with a decent Crit rating to heal.

The Absorb Magic morph of Defensive Posture will be solid in the next update allowing you to absorb large projectiles and getting pretty large heals. I know Absorb Magic became really good now that they set up the 1 reflect limit, absorbing projectiles and healing you for a chepa stam cost is always a plus.

do you think with healing ward is enough? i wanna know if rapid regen is a bit too much on my resto staff bar. And you gave me alot of interesting info i usually proc crystal frags with the fire rune, daedric mines or vel curse, spamming mist form

I only run hardened ward in PvP, I prefer combat prayer for oh "oh No!" moments.

I use DW resto, I just chain weave and AC abilities, no heavy or LAs, like the above poster I just Overload to regain magicka.

Stats on show me your sorc, not too bad with nothing but crafted items.
