Extracting and applying set bonuses

There are a number of armour/clothing set bonuses that I like a great deal, however don't use as they are on either the wrong weight of armour or more commonly the armour itself does not look great. In terms of choosing what my characters use, aesthetics always comes first.

To that end I would love a mechanic, that allows you to draw out the magic of a set bonus and either store it in a vessel, or transfer it to a differing armour item right away.

I don't suppose anything like this has been hinted at, at all?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Could it lead to inbalance? People not bothered?

On a side note do people predominantly go for stats over appearance, or, like me, appearance over everything else?

I go for appearance over everything else as well and would love such a feature. There are quite a few dropped sets that have boni I'd want, but that I won't use because of their looks or being the wrong armor type.

The crafting system needs more freedom, thats for sure.

You might as well not bother having crafting sets and just let players do as they like . So no I think sets are just fine you just have to find a balance that works for you it's part of the enjoyment tinkering around
