Potion Usage

Maybe I don't know shortcuts to Potions usage, but I find it troublesome to use in the middle of a fight.
For instance, when you initiate a PvP fight you set your potion as Critical/Wpn power potion and use it and burst your attack. After that if you wanna use an immovable potion or regen potion, you need to hold the UP button for a second, choose in the wheel the one you want and then use. That takes aprox 2-3 seconds if your fast and you prob will get knocked out in that time.

Is there or is it possible to create any hot keys, such as hold block and just tap the directional button of the potion you want and use it automatically ?

Yeah, I don't know how it is on PC but on Xbox it's very awkward.

Unless I'm missing something its just as awkward on PC but you have the option to use apps which improve things a little, although not getting around its a messed up system.

In the vanilla ui, it's just as challenging on PC as you describe for consoles. Many (most?) Of us use addons to keybind the quickslot items, so instead of navigating through the stupid wheel, I can hit F1-F3 to slot my most commonly used potions in combat. Its a lifesaver, literally.

Yup, I use the PS4 and it kind of force everyone to stick to the tri stat regen potions.
If it were easier to use would solve some lack of DPS for some build with wpn power pots and health sustain for other with immovable and even escape with invisibility

I wish you could hold the up arrow and then all the slots of consumables be linked to other buttons, like pressing up + square simultaneously will use slot 1 potions/consumable, pressing up+triangle slot 2, and so on...

That would be a great improvement!

Imo, that "Wheel of Fortune" (as I call it since it's pure luck to hit what you need in the middle of combat) should have been like "Greymind QuickSlotBar" from the get-go.
The PC users such as myself can use this addon while console players can't, but I feel your pain as I didn't use addons for a long time myself either and know what it's like.
I really hope that they'll change the wheel to something like this addon (along with many other UI failures), for both PC and console.

That implies that they've talked about it before and have plans to change it and some unspecified time in the future. Do you have a source for that? As far as I am aware, there have been no comments one way or the other on any changes to the quickslot system.

It's too much of an advantage in my opinion over ppl who don't use it. I wouldn't use it for that reason myself.

Yep very awkward on console with potions. I usually have to remember what slot I put whatever potion on, like Stamina on down D-pad, then jump while quickly selecting it in mid-air lol.

Greyminds only lets you switch which potion/item is selected when you press the hotkeys. It does not automatically use that potion/item.

So if you were on your F1 item and you hit F2 for the other potion, you still need to hit Q to actually use it.

Personally, I always try to anticipate which potion I'm going to need next and try to have that slotted already.

Tried Greymind, but I use AUI so I make use of their built-in 2nd bar setup.

You'll still have to "select" the potion you wish to use and then press "Q" (or whatever you bound Potions to) to consume them.

Still a LOT better than the damn wheel thing.

On PS4 it works very hard with potions, especially if the slot you used got empty, and you are in the middle of the fight...

Xbox Elite controller helps some with this. I've mapped the potion to one of the paddles, works better. Also, mapped switching bars to another paddle, which is awesome.
