Dark Elf fire damage passive any good on a NB?

Seeing that NBs magica skills are all magic based , is it a waste to use a dark elf for a NB?
The destruction staff skill line has some fire based skills, so i guess use a flame staff on one bar and DW swords on the other or run 2 Flame staffs with AOE on one bar and Single target on the other?

Im still fairly newish but I'd say for a stamblade, no

A magblade, yeah it wouldn't be bad. You could make use of the extra fire damage if you're going to use a lot of inferno staves and it's relating fire spells.

The actual NB tree abilities don't use any fire though obviously, they are pretty much all magic damage mostly. So you won't get any benefit from it there.

NBs don't have any innate Fire abilities so the passives do get "wasted" but honestly, if we didn't have Races, any build is still viable.

For Stamina no, you're better off with a different race if looking to maximize. For Magicka it's very good. Inferno Staff is the best destro, then Wall of Element is already strong, particularly when paired with Maelstrom Staff and it's getting a buff in TG.

Shooting star morph of meteor is flame damage (the morph which gives 12 ult per target hit) so it's going to be good in the upcoming patch. Also elemental and magic damage will be in the same championpoint.

Add that on top of the 9% max magicka of dunmer.

I regret my bosmer not being dark elf since now magelight stops you from using clouding swarm (which I use to get more spelldamage when bombing) :(

The fire protection is minimal when the game was updated in prior patches the fire protection was never adjusted but is less than 10 percent. Someone knows out there. Dark elf is an ok race but Breton or high elf would be better for magic nightblades and imperial Redguard or wood elf better for stamIna powered nb. The dark elf can do Stam ok and magic ok. I would not pick a dark elf but if I had one I would not reroll either it would do fine even at end game.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

For magicka it is not sooo bad with next dlc...

Shooting star ulti is nice and elemental blockade is more damage then twisting path... also your firestaff attacks

But still prefer breton and highelf

Don't pick it. My beloved sorc is dunmer being a noob at the time I picked it purely as I wanted to be a vampire, huge mistake. Now ZOS are going to get huge money from come barber shop and I can turn high elf. Dunmer are best for a DK but as magika NB go high elf stam Kajit or Breton.

with the upcoming changes to the champion system dunmer is going to be the new optimal race for magicka nb dps.

This makes me happy seeing as I created one a couple of weeks ago.

PVE, PVP or both? For pure pve it's a toss up between Dunmer and Altmer imo for top dps, especially if you have/will have Maelstrom flame staff, as you will want Wall of Elements in your rotation. At the moment there isnt much between Dunmer/Breton and Altmer, however with the boost to WoE damage in TG dlc, Dunmer will probably pull ahead. That doesn't mean to say you can't do top dps on Altmer or Breton though.

NBS have no fire based magic attacks so it would be best to go with a DK for that unless you want to be a vampire however II believe even the dunmer fire resistance is inferior to some other racial resistances, I believe a Breton may actually be more resistant to fire then a dunmer is as a dunmer only gets about 2000 fire resistance from their races and a Breton gets close to 4000 on overall spell resistance.

Dunmer's great for a magicka nightblade. I still don't think it's the best choice for PvP, but in PvE I'd probably agree with @lathbury there.

with the siege changes i dont think it will slouch in pvp but yeah its a much closer call there between breton dunmer and altmer. but with magelight as it is whose gonna be crazy enough to run a mag blade in cyro anymore?
