De-scaling

I've noticed several times when higher levelled players come into lower level areas and simply one-shot tough enemies, I've done it myself running through a delve in Auridon. For me this removes the challenge of tough enemies, especially in group content like dolmens and public dungeons, or even when I'm facing a quest boss that gets taken down before I can tag it/reach the area.

Would people be open to a system that de-scales your character level based on the area you're in? It's something I've experienced in Guild Wars 2 and works well but I'd rather hear the opinions of other ESO players.

There has been a lot of ideas bandied about to deal with this. Most people who are high level are just there to collect achievements or finish quests they skipped while leveling. So, it's not really a game play need.

Which reminds me, I still need about 200 mudcrabs for the Monster Hunter on one of my Alts. Time to go back to Glenumbra.

In any event, what would the mechanism be to de-scale? Just reduce damage and hit points or remove skills that would not normally be unlocked at that level. Coupled with the Champ System, it would be difficult to pull off with any meaningful game play left.

And, if they are going to bring back soft and hard caps, then they need to bring those back everywhere. Maybe we can have Hybrid builds again.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
