Buy or Sell Alliance Points?

When you get alliance points do you sell them? or do you buy alliance points? or do you just get alliance points yourself and not do either?

Disclaimer: But you cant buy Alliance Points!? - WRONG - People buy them by asking the person with the points to buy a item and then they purchase that item with gold. Thought I would get ahead of the comments saying you cant buy them..

I sold a million AP for 500k gold once and that was about it. Everything else I've spent for myself

I've bought rare PvP set items from blue bags and the blue bags themselves from other players at some point when I didn't have the AP to buy them myself. I've sold rare set items from the same bags (that I bought with my own AP) to other players for gold as well.

Edit: I think the blue bags are still the best rare loot reward system in the game. You get to choose the armor type and the gear slot of the item (to some extent), and the trait is fixed. The items are rare but not impossible to obtain and they can be traded, the set bonuses are interesting but not overpowered. However, the bonuses could have been a bit more specifically designed for PvP.

Been just saying AP for the TG update, forward camps and the new sets along with monster set pieces may get expensive. But if I can buy everything I want, and have leftover I'll definitely be selling my AP.

If people are still selling AP right now I hope they have all of the Monster sets they want. Personally I am being a miser until I see just how much AP these pieces are going to cost. Selling AP right now is like shooting yourself in the foot. Come that first week or 2 of Thieves Guild everyone will want more AP!.....especially if they half decent traits on them like the Impenetrable pieces I hear are on PTS now! Lol

Mostly save it for myself to buy PvP items or hold over for new sets when they're available.

Currently though I will probably aim to spend my extra getting the crafting sets for sale with AP.

I've bot the Akaviri Chest motif since there's no way to otherwise get it and I'm not great at PVP.

I may consider selling a surplus of AP once I have the Akaviri motif book. But I think I'm still 2 million AP or so away from that.

I have most of the monster sets (I think I'm only missing Maw of the Infernal, Engine Guardian and Lord Warden helms, as well as v16 versions of Neriene'th and Skoria), so I really don't care to spend AP on that.
