What category of attack is a light attack?

My question is for the sake of damage if a set gives a bonus to 2 handed abilities like 600 weapon damage. Are light and heavy attacks considered 2h abilities or just the weapon abilities like wrecking blow? Or would the bonus have to be for 600 damage for only light and heavy attacks? Are light and heavy attacks considered weapon abilities or are they their own category of attack.

It means that the 600 weapon damage would apply to your Character's stats where it says "Weapon Damage" which would increase the damage of all your Stamina-related abilities like Wrecking Blow, light attacks, medium/heavy attacks, and even your classes abilities that use Stamina, like.. a Nightblade's Surprise Attack. Same pretty much works for Max Stamina too, but I think Weapon Damage is a priority.

Light and heavy attacks are considered basic attacks. Wrecking blow is a skill of 2H abilities. Weapon damage is the stamina equivalent of spell damage for magicka, meaning that both 2H basic attacks and weapon skills scale off stamina and weapon damage.
