Fixing walls in pvp

I changed from mac to PC a few days ago, and ever since, I have had this weird thing happen, where I am unable to fix walls in keeps... Is this a known PC bug? Because could not find anything about it online or on the forums, apart from some 2014 thread

It can be really annoying, and hold things back allot, especially when late at night and in very small groups. I have been able to fix doors on two occasions in the past couple of days, but mostly it just makes a strange noise and says no...

Is this an actual bug, or is there some sort of special 'PC' way of fixing walls?

PC way of fixing walls is as follows:

Buy the stone to fix wall,
Open Inventory, press q and put stone onto quickslot,
Near wall and press q down and select the stone,
now just press q each time whilst near enough to the wall you want to fix..

If this is what you have been doing then it is probably a bug.

The best way is to "aim" at the damaged wall and hit the use button. Sometimes another player gets in the way so you are "aiming" at him/her. If that the case, you can press the use button as much as you like, but you will not repair the wall.

Aim at the wall, preferably above anyone who may be there, so the wall is targeted/postern and just spam q repeatedly, provided you have repair stones quickslotted, once its repaired, it will keep doing the repairing tones for a while, which is irritating but ya get used to it.

Basically what my two mates here already said lol.

I have been doing just that, and it doesn't want to work. Even when I am stood at the wall by myself with nobody to get in the way, it still wont work

I never had this problem on my mac, and was hoping it was a bug on PC, but if that isn't the case then it must just be broken for me.

I guess I will just have to not fix walls any more. Will save me a few AP I suppose...

Sometimes you have to wiggle your view a bit before it will let you fix, I occasionally get this where I'm in a perfectly good position to repair and it just makes a noise. Try getting in close with your nose on the wall. Oh and make sure you're equipping the correct repair kit, wood or stone.

I dunno if this will help, but this happened to me on consoles after orsinium came out, The way I fixed it was to assign something else to the slot where the wall repair kit was, and reassign the wall repair kit back to the same slot. after that it let me repair walls again, had to do it with the door repair kit as well.

I just tried this, changing the slot, and it worked!! Thank you so much!
