In need of some help

So with the TG update coming I find myself pondering if I should carry on levelling my Templar or carry on with my low level sorc.....

I have put effort and time into my Templar and can pretty much solo all PVE in the game, I would love to get him to VR16 but I don't want to be wasting my time especially as eventually we shall loose the VR ranks.

Can anyone kick me in a direction please as I really cannot decide!!!

VR aren't going away for another quarter+ of a year so that's not really a concern if you're enjoying playing your templar, that's still champion points gained if you want to look at it that way. If that's the time point you're worried about, just carry on playing as gives you fun--it's really not that close to fret over.

I have six toons VR ranked; five at V16 and one at V5. I have already created the other two and log into them daily to do steed training so that when I play them they will not start on slow horses.

I plan to level the two newbies to VR1 before the Dark Brotherhood DLC comes out (when they devsplan to do away with VR ranks) just in case the devs nerf XP gains for non-vet levels. In the mean time, I will keep playing whichever toon keeps the game exciting and fresh.

poor templar you could go on, on any other class. one thing is for sure. you will get nerfed again at DB. so if you want to play it safe play high elf magicka sorc. just like 40% of current cyro which problably will be 55% at TG

I feel like mag sorc is an easier class to master, so if you are looking for just a steady class to play on and you're not looking to min max or master a complicated rotation, a sorc is not a bad choice.

While the mag templar was nerfed in some places, I find they were buffed in others (especially DPS). The new champ point distribution is definitely in their favor in some areas and I think they are going to be one of the next best single target dps (assuming you are not putting overload cheesing into account).

Thanks for the responses! I will cary on with my Templar until I hit Vr16, it shouldn't take too long and I love playing with a Templar, it keeps me interested so I guess I should stick with what I currently like about the game

I will have a sorc waiting in the background for when I need a new challenge, but for now that will just be waiting and watching
