Can we please get a free respec with the new patch?
There's going to be so many new changes this patch, some abilities are getting completely reworked.
I can't believe people even complained about getting a free respec a while back, what a *** joke. It only takes like 5-10 minutes to choose all your skills.
I remember some people complaining that they "couldn't remember where they allocated their skill points" and were "furious" to have been given a FREE respec. If you don't have a basic idea of where you allocated your points then you need to get yourself checked out.

Why would most players have to do that? They may choose to do so, but the option to pay in-game for the respec is there if they prefer to do it that way. The only really disadvantaged players are those new to the game who haven't yet reached a respec shrine, and those taking a break from the game who miss the need to note down their existing specs and log in some time later to find themselves forced to work out a full respec before they even know what's hit them.
I'd personally favour a respec token, I'm wholly against forced respecs on login, especially as every time there's ever been a respec in any MMO I've played I've always ended up simply re-applying the old skills without the need for change and across a dozen characters that becomes a pain.
However, Gina has made it clear that although there are currently no plans for a respec, if there is one it will be by way of a forced respec on login. I can appreciate that it's an important point for some competitive players who need to respec to the latest and best build but personally I hope it doesn't happen. If any of my characters do need a respec then I'll sort them out individually.1 -

They've made their decision, they should stick with it. That's the way to run a MMO.2 -
tengri✭✭✭✭✭The more reasonable thing to do would be to lower respec cost significantly for a week or two after the patch hits... that way those that need/want to can conveniently try out things while those happy as is wont be bothered to redo everything.
Personally, I have 5 VR16 (almost 6) which might all need a full respec... that's another what... 100k or so down the toilet. Because Z chooses to shift things around. Again. Not cool.

The stated reason regarding player complaints is just a smokescreen. Otherwise they would at least be lowering the gold cost to respect for a week or so.0 -

Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -
