I just like the meta-game idea of people questioning their existence and maybe THINKING they saw one but wasn't sure. I think 100,000 Crowns is high enough that there probably isn't anyone that would be willing to shell out the money for it, but low enough that someone with a bunch of burnable cash might buy it for kicks and grins.

Thoughts?

After they fix much more important things first!

After that, if lore allows, sure why not have...have your unicorn.


I'd rather they continue to improve the game I enjoy first though

Anyways, on topic...

I do not like the idea of a mount having a "special benefit" that other mounts can't have, unless these other mounts also have a different benefit of some sort. Even worse if this mount is sold in the Crown Store.

But I do not oppose to Unicorns being added, even if it is not really my thing (I like my characters to look as "mundane" as possible), since they appear (or are at least mentioned) in previous games. It is lore friendly.

There must be a way to control the number of Unicorns running around, though, as they are supposed to be really rare. I do not like it to be controlled by the price of it, but honestly I don't have any better ideas.

Indeed, unicorns have no lore reason against them, except for being darn rare. (and possibly only ride-able by characters who never ever have done any ERP... )

Extra special benefits for mounts though is a no-no, for PtW-complaint reasons.

That's -exactly- how I'd want to see unicorns done in ESO. So fu... uhm... fuggly expensive noone in their right mind would even think about it, but... sitting there, taunting people from the crown store, and growing into a ingame myth of once having seen someone who actoually bought the unicorn...
(one could argue about the exact price, but it definitely ought to be something that makes people call tech support and ask if its a typoo...)

A Rainbow mount would be interesting. A flying Rainbow mount would be even better!

I don't want them to be rare because they're expensive. I want them to be rare in that RNGesus prays to himself to get one to spawn. It would be in Cryodiil. It would give PVP buffs while you have it, but the thing would run away the second you get knocked from it.

But it would make more sense then add in to game so we have found it this super rare mount and kill and if we are are lucky it will drop 1 mount but drop rate would be super low like 0,0001%

But unicorns are in the world of TES so are dragons IDK why people are getting so angry about fine dragons for lore reasons can't be added I have come to that conclusion but unicorns Titans etc are not bound this rule so why is it a big deal for people

Nope, everything in the cash shop needs to be within range of each other - you don't want someone running around with a super rare cash-bought item lording it over the server like it's an actual accomplishment.

If the mounts in the crown store are better then the mounts that can be bought with gold, it is a sure start to the p2w system.

The unicorn would attack anyone drawing weapons (as per Oblivion), so having a unicorn mount implies a pacifist character. Has any one of you ever not attacked anything in the game? You kinda have to in this game

However,as I said,..that 100,000 will be fine with all the millionaires who post here.They say they have millions in gold,so it will have to be priced a lot higher.Why would ZOS take the time to develop and add something to the crown store that wouldnt sell very well?
