Magelight...

Haven't got pts but...

Magelight can now be activated to summon a mote of magelight which exposes hidden or invisible enemies in an 8 meter radius for 5 seconds, and prevents revealed enemies from returning to stealth for 5 seconds.

So by definition this doesn't stop nb's from cloaking atfer it but will reveal them? Hmm..

Has anyone actually tested this yet.

PS4 EU DC

Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

It prevents them from cloaking for 5 seconds after Magelight pulls them out of cloak.

The 5 seconds should be reduced, or just removed. If you can spam it to keep breaking cloak it will already negate cloak spam and force stamblades to do less cherry picking.

    Magelight isn't very expensive.

Prevents invis pots too I think.

5 seconds is the perfect duration.

A good Nightblade, whether Magicka or Stamina can get away from Detect Pots / Revealing Flare by using Line of Sight and their environment to their advantage.

While I'm not being biased towards, or against any particular class, overall. I don't really like the idea of abilities that are being (basically) soley focused towards gimping a certain class' functionality.

Let's face it - nobody but nightblades give two craps about this change (from a detection pov), because it only really screws them over lol.

They already removed the purge/dot removal from cloak. And Magelight already had the detection morph. Did it really need to be baked in, and also made into a ridiculously large range for the morph (8 meters, and freakin' 12 meters radius is crazy).

I actually think the magelight changes in themselves are really good. I prefer the activation method, as it 'feels' less like a waste of a slot for 'passive' abilities, etc. It's more proactive now.

But overall, this is way overboard, and the fact it's obviously spammable lol gtfo.

Ya'll know there's gonna be zerg groups going round with people spamming this all over the place.

8 and 12 meters is crazy but we have to take in account of Medium Armor passives and Racial passives that reduce detection radius.

How about a ability to prevent Shields from being cast for 5s?

Why create a class if you hate it so dam much?

    Well Zen?

That actually should be a thing. There's a reason power word shield couldn't be spammed in WOW. Because it would have been as stupid as it is in this game...

Shields already have the reasonably easily attainable hard counter of Shield Breaker. If enough people roll Magicka Sorcs then more people are going to be spamming light bow attacks at them.

Make shield breaker craftable armor or option to get it in Heavy or Light, and I would agree with you.

As a Magic NB I should not have to wear Medium armor just to have a chance to go up against a Sorc.

They also said they were introducing a CP star for attacking shields? I don't mind personally about Shield Breaker being Medium, as it gives stamina builds credence in the next possible meta (if 80% of people will be running Magicka Sorcs instead of NB's).
