I was messing around in my guild store and bought a bunch of motifs all of the original race motifs Daderic and Ancient Elf it cost me around 10,000 gold total. So outside of maybe 1 or 2 motifs is anyone actually still buying these off the crown store?

No I doubt it.. Not only are the original style grossly overpriced in the Crown Store, they are very easily obtainable in game, and are 90% cheaper than they used to be.

The only motifs that sell in the Crown Store now are ones like Glass where they made it a PITA to grind out or buy the pieces.
Far too many characters to list any more.

Nope. I do buy the occasional costume pack, though. Even though I typically only like one of the custumes out of the pack lol/

I heard they Nerfed it so you only got half the motif now.

Still, I wouldn't think the forum is representative of the overall player base
For people who don't play often and don't want to grind I can see them being attractive

Babeester Gor is the Axe Goddess, the Implacable Anger, the Avenging Daughter and the Earth Guardian.

    Vilvyni Indarys, Dragonknight and Woodworker
    Arielle Alouette, Templar and Provisioner

Yeah I would never farm for motifs but you can get the racial motifs for under 300 coins and Daderic and Ancient Elf for 4000-6000. It doesn't even seem worth it to spend real money.

Yep I have bought them out of the Crown Store. Beats farming over and over again in hopes to finally getting the entire motif.
Will buy the Ancient Orc motif with the new dlc. Farmed both Public Delves in Orsinium um-teen times with four different characters and have never got one page of that motif.

Nope and there's a whole other thread about how the cash shop is interpreted all wrong by ZoS.

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/243841/is-the-cost-of-crown-store-items-just-too-damn-high/p1

ZoS be doing the cash shop business model wrong.

    Seriously a collection of the three "rare" motifs costs more than what I paid for the game itself. Wtf >__>;;

An MMO will cost you money, and especially free ones cost the most, because they make it hard to enjoy the game without to leave some cash in their pockets. ESO is a middle-thing in this regards. so expect to throw cash at ZOS and you will enjoy the game. But if you expect that it will cost you nothing mroe than just buying the original game, your fun will be limited and you will hit pay-walls, because you cannot get to content, like the new skill line in the Thief DLC and so on.

I'm sure they sell. Don't know anyone personally though.

I might buy the Primal motif, if I do not stumble across it before I will have reached the skill requirements or found it in a guild store for a reasonable gold price. If gold price is too high, I will just keep the gold and use crowns. I have to work much less for crowns than for gold, so I just go for convenience in this case.

And i'll buy the ancient orc, And the Akaviri ones once they pop in there.

I think I have seen it going for around 5000 gold.

I'm not really counting the ones that go for 100 thousand gold I might buy those on the crown store also. I mean the ones that are relatively cheap.

Basic motifs sell for near nothing in many guilds.I wont buy the other ones that go in chapters.I hate those chapters.Plus some of them dont let you know that you have to be like level V16 to find the mats needed for them.So you buy them and cant use them after you learn them until you reach the level to get those mats.Wasted my crowns.
I have no need for them.

Yes, that was really bad, but I got lucky, because I wanted to see how they look like before and watched a couple of videos and read up on them on the web and so I got, that they require skills, which I do not have, and access to areas, where I cannot get to at my level.

You mean the orc, bosmer, et cetera? I can't really imagine why, they sell for 100g each.
    PC/NA: Primarily Daggerfall Covenant.

Lennie: Breton Sorceror. 9-trait crafter on everything, purveyor of useless frippery.

Only motif I bought from the crown store so far was the xivkyn. Mainly because it was a PITA to get. Brilliant business strategy they have here. Now if they'd sell charcoal in there I'd be good to go.

    Still waiting on mercenary though.

Not the standard alliance sets - but the exotic ones - that is a special category in the crown store.
