Zenimax, Can we please get numbers ? [+Console Players]

Hyphastion
So, an MMO that has no numbers....

I dont know if this has been debated before, and also i want to make very clear that i LOVE ESO and enjoy it very much. But does anybody else not get annoyed at not having your damage shown, or how many EXP you current have so you can calculate how much more you need ? I dont like having to guess on my bar the progress. Here is a list of ideas for NUMBERS (after all, MMO's need numbers):

- HP points.
- Stamina points
- Mana points
- EXP points
- Damage delt
- Damage taken
- Regen

And other things that help players as they play. A MMO with no numbers is, at the least, confusing. People who play PC version have some kind of add on that shows numbers. Can PS4 and XBOX get this someday down the road ?

Thanks !

One of my issues since day one. Amen. At least we are getting damage numbers soon but I'd still like to have the rest you mentioned as well

I would assume scrolling combat text would be coming to console as well with this update. I could be mistaken though.

    Agreed, OP.

It would help me tweak my builds with various Skills and equipment if I could actually see those numbers.

This would be very useful for console players, Zeni.

Critical damage gets not only a different color, but an "!" behind it, from what it looks like.

    Agreed.

When tweaking a build by adding a new/different piece of equipment, it's really difficult to tell if the change was for the better or worse since I can't see numbers to see if those same numbers went up or down. This makes tweaking/perfecting a build extremely hard on the consoles.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert This doesn't seem so difficult to add into the console version, could we get a consideration for this for a future update?

I understand, and hopefully there will be a way in "Settings" to turn if of for those who rather not have numbers. Like subtitles in some games...

As long as I can switch them off, you can have all the numbers you want. I do not want to have scrolling numbers on my screen, I want to experience the world, not a bunch of numbers scrolling over my screen.

Assuming the SCT is part of what you'd accept the character sheet seen in inventory offers the other.

I get that you want an on screen replication as well but to be honest, the numbers don't match up.

PTS right now in the console UI seeing SCT is a eye opening experience.
I think until numbers match up, having number on the bars will get more confusing because then you're trying to figure out why X number of dmg occurs when CPs, stats, skills and whatever equation that applies to each presents numbers.

In short....logical request but ZOS has some work before this could present a positive experience.
We all have had the health bar not match up with dmg taken or healing rcvd. This is what I'm referring to which is prob a bug...but because it's never been fixed, it comes off as being as designed.

as far i remembered they are not implemented this at first with the SCT. have to look it up though. although i'm quite sure they will add it in the future because it will be asked for alot. for me i don't really want/need the numbers but the buff/debuff timers are quite usefull. now i have to guess what the timers are resulting in loss of DPS

On PTS a number value appears with certain colors for dmg done, dang taken and healing done or received.
You can choose what shows on you and others or NPCs but it's based on what you're doing and what's being done to you.

Debuffs and stuff do not show unless you're taking dmg. So the visual indicators still exist but if you have a rebuff but not taking dmg, there is no value.

In the ptS forum I've suggested they could offer settings that display diff font size, colors and maybe an icon of a spell so we know debuffs and what skill or spell is producing the dmg or heal values.

We will see if any changes occur.
