Heavy Armor Khajiit - suggestions?

I'm playing with the idea of a new character, and want to try a heavy armor Khajiit, male (not that it makes a difference). He wouldn't be a crafting character, so all skill points would go to character development. With their weapon crit and other racial bonus, almost everyone seems to roll Khajiits as nightblade assassin, but I want a heavy/medium armor build that's fun and challenging.
I considered another stamplar, because of the racial passives. I don't like sorcerers (particularly going the pet route) and heavy armor won't do a sorcerer any favors.
I'd like him to eventually be viable in PvP as well as PvE.
Has anyone tried this? I'd love to hear about it, including weapon choices and classes. Thanks.
